I should have done my research…then I would have known that this company is not a florist shop. I wanted to deliver flowers to a friend in Duncanville, Texas…googled for a florist…Avas pops up as #1 rated flower shop. I called on 2/09/2023 and placed an order… trying to beat the Valentine’s Day crowd…paid for my order. Got a confirmation recording that my order was received on the 10th. Called my friend to double check, neither she nor the office where she works received a delivery from Avas. Called Avas customer support, I won’t go into detail about dates and times because there are many… finally they admitted that the flowers were not delivered and assured that they would be delivered on February 13. Failed again and again on Valentine’s Day… trying to get a refund as of February 15… when I call customer service all I get is a false delivery message. I am on hold for so long. If I had to place an order, an agent will answer on the first ring.
I wish I had read all the reviews first. Flowers got to my husband’s funeral were almost an hour late. When they did arrive they were much smaller and flowers were very different. And many flowers and the spears were already wilting! The large spray I ordered was not as described to me when I called and only had 6-7 roses instead of a dozen, instead of blue. The plastic vase was cracked and leaking. Also paid for the ribbon package and instructed them there was to be no baby blue ribbon. Impossible to get through to their customer service and so disappointed and dissatisfied with the product! Steer clear of them at all costs!!!
Wish I could post photos comparing what I ordered (nice vase of ten beautifully arranged sunflowers) versus what I got (cheap vase with ten pathetic sunflowers jammed in – the flowers were full of fungal spores!!!!). I paid a lot of money for the flowers and was mortified when I saw them three days after delivery. I pointed the fungus out to the recipient, who promptly threw the whole arrangement into the dumpster. I feel terrible. I wrote to Ava’s flowers, but never heard back.
First and last time ordering flowers from Avas, so disappointed and embarrassed on how small arrangement was, maybe 4-5 carnations and greenery! $79.99 what a joke, wish I seen reviews, tried to cancel order less than 5 minutes after placing once I seen $24.99 service fee! Refused to cancel it for me, said will give $10 off, never seen it ! My heart dropped when I seen how cheap the arrangement was.
I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. Every single complaint anyone had I also experienced.. My order of a $79 floral spray fo a funeral ended up costing $111 with no explanation of the extra charges. I was promised next day delivery in time for the viewing but then contacted couldn’t deliver until day of funeral. However it never showed up at the service. I cannot reach anyone to ask fir a refund since I did not receive the promised product. What a rip off. I had asked Googke for a local company but instead got Ava’s. How does that even happen?
I wish I would never order flowers from this florist. They didn’t send the item I ordered, charge me 222 dollars and I only got reimbursed 90 dollars. No happy with the service at all.
Ordered the Sun, Moon and Stars arrangement. It was nothing like the picture.
There were no lilies or monte or even the bow that was supposed to be tied around the vase.
The only thing that was in the picture were the five yellow roses. Everything else was just fern and purple filler.
Placed an order, didn’t receive it. Called customer service, only a recording available. Called the “order” line and the person told me he is one person taking orders, and has no way to contact anyone about complaints. So I went to my bank and reported it and will get my money back there.
I should have read these comments before I ordered. I ordered a $57.00 arrangement and the order ended up being $101.57 after all the service fees! AND THE ORDER WAS NEVER DELIVERED!!!! I ordered a casket spray for my mother’s funeral which was never delivered at all. Then we couldn’t reach anyone to handle the issue. No one answered the phone at 12:30pm in the afternoon. This was a disappointing experience. The other flowers had a hand written rest in peace on the ribbon, when I clearly asked for Beloved Grandmother “Nana” in glitter. Also they offered a $20 refund on $349. This company is a complete disgrace and the customer service is deplorable.
Terrible experience with ava’s florist. I ordered a bouquet for my sister-in-law which turned out to be an embarrassment. I paid 91 dollars for a few flowers with no greenery. It was an awful experience.
I placed an order on Sunday March 13 to have flowers delivered today March 14 for a 50th Birthday it arrived at 5:30 pm. I am extremely disappointed with the arrangement it does not look anything like what I ordered. I have been trying to make contact with the Ava’s Flowers to no avail the customer service is the worse I will NEVER order from them again.
The worst service you can imagine. No flowers no refund, no caring…they just take your money and run. This company has already settled with NJ consumer affairs, but obviously that sanction was not enough to make them care about the consumer.
This same thing happened to me. No delivery! So who is profiting from all this money if you can’t get a refund? I sure hope these people go out of business.
What a nightmare. I immediately tried to cancel order after realizing they were not a local florist which was indicated and I googled. Then they said it would not be same day delivery as requested after I submitted order. Then I saw they charged a ‘service charge’ of over half the amount of flowers. I immediately tried to cancel order (within 2 minutes). They came back with it was already being processed after only 2 minutes. How can that be when it was not even ordered in the same state of destination? I called customer service and first call just gave me a message confirming my order and then hung up. Called back and tricked them in not using the order number no got a sweet foreigner who kept repeating my order stats and not agreeing to refund. I PERSISTED AND PERSISTED and finally after over an hour of going back and forth and being put on hold for 45 minutes she agreed to process refund. Now to see if they refund as promised.
The worst! Don’t ever use this florist! First they sent the arrangement that I ordered in the wrong vase. It was supposed to be in a cobalt blue low square vase. It was sent I a clear square vase which didn’t do justice to the arrangement. They picked it up and delivered an arrangement in a tall fluted glass vase with a purple ribbon tied around it. Didn’t resemble what I had ordered at all. Asked for credit which I received and the are actually making a fourth trip to the recipient to pick up the flowers! Pathetic!!!!! They don’t even bother telling you that they don’t have what you ordered. They just send whatever they have available.
Like many people here, I also should have checked reviews/comments before ordering through this company. I ordered a week in advance for a funeral service and paid for rush shipping to make sure it got there in time. It never got there. If you’re someone who is doing your due diligence and checking reviews before you order (like I should have done), then do not use this company. You will waste your money and your recipient will never get their flowers!
Poor quality products at high price. Product shown online was not what I received. Hassle getting a refund even though their return policy clearly stated I was eligible for a full refund, they only refunded 20%. Never again will I order from them.
I ordered a fruit and cheese basket as a valentines gift. The picture and information made it look like the cheese and crackers would be gourmet deli. However when the recipient received the basket, it had a pack of Kraft cheddar and store brand (Walmart) water crackers. There were only a few pieces of fruit, including pears which might have been OK, but the pic showed a pineapple too. There were bruised bananas and a couple of apples. All looked like Walmart produce. I sent a complaint to the company and got an automated response that someone would be in touch w me shortly so far nothing. Granted it’s only been 5 hours so maybe tomorrow?
But here’s the kicker. The basket was delivered Monday (yesterday) and you only get 24 hours for a refund, by the time the basket was actually received (today, Tuesday) the 24 hours had lapsed so I will not get a refund.
I ordered an arrangement for a funeral. Instructed it needed to be there before 10 am. It was a bouquet of Sunflowers. I get and phone call at 10:45am saying they were out of Sunflowers and can send mums or roses. This is 45 minutes after the deliver was to be made. I mentioned this and she said they would be delivered that day. 3 minutes after the call I got an email stating they were delivered. Something is just not adding up. Terrible customer service. Will never use them again and steer everyone away from them! So embarrassing and can’t ask if they even got them to see what they even sent for $75.
First of all I did not receive what I ordered and they spelt my name wrong. This was for my father’s funeral. So very disappointed. I have sent emails and tried to call. Nobody has even called me back. They have ruined my day and the memories of my self and my family.
I wished I had viewed the comments before I order from this company, I never would have, I am very disappointed in such poor service and high price when it was supposed to be on sale. I order on the 23rd of September they have not delivered the flowers yet and it’s the 26 they say they can’t deliver maybe the 28th never again will I order from them again.
Will never use again….Such an embarrassing delivery. I could have gotten a prettier bouquet at Walmart. So disappointed. Do not recommend this service to anyone. I thought they were a florist, they are not and they charge a hefty fee for calling a local florist for you.

Flowers did not come close to the bouquet I ordered or the size. I ordered Dreaming of Tuscany a vibrant bouquet! No yellow, no red, vibrant greens…flowers!

I doubt if this comment will go through, but I’ll try. I had never read ALL these bad comments before ordering today. I won’t go into ALL the details, but by the time John had my order priced, he had ADDED some extra’s that I NEVER ask for! He then came down on the cost. The WORST part, every time I or he would talk, his phone was BREAKING UP BAD!!!. I had to keep “repeating” myself over and over, as well as asking him to “repeat” too. I told him he NEEDED a new phone service!!!
I was so hurt and disappointed when I saw my flowers at the funeral home. They only had 2 colors with a little greenery. It was suppose to be the colorful spray with a lot of colorful flowers mine looked nothing like the picture. Also I ordered large and it was small. I deserve a refund if anyone has a compassionate bone in their body. This was for my brother’s family. I was so embarrassed. Others noticed too and we will never use this company again.
Appalled at the very poor quality of flowers, the incorrect delivery date and the expense. I live in the UK and thought I was ordering from a local (to my niece in Alabama) florist. I have tried emailing only to receive a reply telling me to go to the website; I have tried telephoning to be cut off and so as I seem to be unable to contact them to give feedback.
I Am thoroughly disgusted with the poor quality of flowers, the poor level of customer service, and the worst overall experience EVER in a business! I will be disputing this charge with my card company since every avenue to contact this company has been exalted with absolutely 0% communication…email, phone, message, NOTHING! A voice prompt recording then a hang up.
