About VLC Media Player
VLC is a free multimedia player that was first released in 2001. The software, developed by VideoLan, is available for operating systems that include Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, and Apple TV. I downloaded the OS X version of VideoLAN media player onto my iMac on July 27 in order to play a client’s audio files sent from his MS Windows system. The software did not work, as none of the four audio files received from my client would open so I could listen. His files had the ending .ogg, which my system did not recognize even after using your media player.
Once he sent me the audio files as MP3, though, they opened!!
This indicates to me that bypassing the complicated conversion platforms and working directly with MP3 solves the problem.

VLC for Android/Google for this TV will not play subtitles automatically! I have to manually set each video to play the subtitles which is a giant pain in the neck!. The subtitles are always set to disabled by default! The TV’s default Media Player does not play subtitles at all no matter the settings! does anyone know how to fix this problem?
I’d like to firstly thank you people for bringing in, such an amazing Media Player for all of us. Secondly, i please need your help in “flipping the Text” in my Videos, which remains unflipped (no matter how hard i have tried to unflip it).. ? It’s very annoying and I’ve searched for the solution online and tried many times to fix this problem but got no success. Mind you, problem is NOT with rotating the Video. It’s with the Text being unflipped. After rotating the videos in its’ correct position, still the Text is displayed incorrectly. Anyone’s help in this regard would be highly appreciated please.

The media change pop up notifications which are displayed in the action centre of Windows 10 are no longer showing up.
I’ve tried changing the settings in the “Simple Preferences” menu but this did not work.
Reinstalling VLC did not work either.
Note: This happened after I played a game League of Legends where the game froze my computer and I had to force shut it down. The notifications have not returned since.
How do I restore them?

No complaints, just a request. When I use Windows Media Player in list view, I can right click on an item in any column and select edit. By doing this, I am able to categorise all my music into the separate types that I want. I.E. Pop, Instrumentals, New Age etc. Is there any possibility that this request could be considered for the future?

I downloaded three shows watched one and need to delete it from Vlc on a fire tv.How do I delete one and keep the other two until I watch them.
