About Target REDcard
If you frequent Target for shopping, the REDcard is one necessary add-on. The initiative by the Minneapolis-based retail giant Target Corporation was put forth to boost the outreach of its free loyalty program. REDcard program is accessible to all regular shoppers. The card owners enjoy special discounts and exclusive extras when they shop at Target. Currently, the card comes in two forms: a credit card and a debit card.

The Target Debit Card, that links to your existing checking account can only be used for cash withdrawals up to $40. The Credit Card option is a bit more flexible and you are only required to pay the monthly bills, which can be done through the website. It’s important to note that there is a late payment fee which is estimated up to $38 and a return payment charge.

REDcard can be used to get a 5% additional discount off purchases every day at Target. Note that this does not apply to prescriptions, gift cards and Target Optical products. In addition to the 5% discount, Target also promises free 2-day shipping for all those who love shopping online. This service is valid for orders shipped across all 50 states. It also permits you to have extended returns for up to 30 days. However, this facility is not valid for Target mobile purchases and those which have a fixed period for a return date.

REDcard has a high annual percentage rate of 25%, which compels a customer to opt for a Mastercard Incorporated REDcard, which is an amalgamation of both the perks of Red Card and a traditional credit card. The retail giant aims to target a large chunk of its customer base through the loyalty program. It is quite evident from their new initiative of providing an additional 5% when you use your REDcard at any Starbucks outlet. If you’re using “Cartwheel” for making a purchase you would get the initial 5-50% discount along with an additional 5% discount.

That’s not all, you will be also given early access to select products. This early access offer, however, won’t be the same for all REDcard holders. It will be solely based on your past purchases and geographic locations. You can apply a new REDcard and even activate same on the official website. While the REDcard credit cards are issued by TD Bank USA, the REDcard Debit Card is issued by Target Corporation. Know the rates/fees and agreement online. Existing REDcard users can also login to their account to view transactions, manage PIN and make payments. For more information or queries on registration, payment, cancellation, or others, reach the REDcard support.
