About State Farm Arena
State Farm Arena is a popular destination for basketball lovers in Atlanta, Georgia. Opened in the year 2008, the multipurpose indoor stadium is home to NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. Formerly known as Philips Arena, the venue regularly hosts basketball, ice hockey, concerts and live events. While for basketball games it can seat up to 16,600, for concerts it can accommodate up to 21,000. Located in the downtown Centennial Park District, the venue is within walking distance of hotels and top attractions. With a field size of 680,000 sq ft, the arena boasts of modern amenities and features, including a center-hung massive video display of 4,477 sq ft.
The venue can be easily accessed by metro, bus and cab. The GWCC/CNN Center Station can be accessed by MARTA’s Blue and Green Line. The underground station connects you to the arena as well as other surrounding attractions. If driving in your own automobile, you can park at the Sapphire Deck, Ruby Lot, Diamond Deck or CNN Deck. Season tickets can be booked directly through the club. For general tickets, you can approach the Box Office, located next to Gate 2. Note that the Box Office opens one hour prior to the event’s scheduled time. Tickets for concerts can be booked online on Ticketmaster. Other ticket vendors include StubHub, SeatGeek and VividSeats. The events page will direct you to the booking partner. When you choose to book online, you can pick the preferred seat on the seating chart and pay using any major credit card.
