About Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
If there is a major tradeshow or corporate gathering in Hong Kong, the venue would often be the HKCEC, which is short for Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Opened in the year 1988, the venue is located at the heart of the busy Central Business District. It is touted to be one of the world’s largest convention centers with a gross area of 306,000 sqm. More than 126 million visitors have been through the doors since the opening. Located on the landmark Victoria Harbour, HKCEC has hosted some of the biggest tradeshows and exhibitions. You also have hundreds of conferences, seminars, banquets, cultural and entertainment events held throughout the year.

The convention center boasts a 40,000 sqm aluminum roof cladding. You have six exhibition halls, two multipurpose halls, two theaters and fifty two meeting rooms. Hall 1 is the largest single exhibition hall and spans an area of 19,890 sqm. The multi-purpose Grand Hall is best for small meetings, banquets and special events. For bigger seminars and conferences, there is the Convention Hall that also connects with the two theatres. There is a floor plan published online showing the floor levels, meeting rooms, escalators and access roads.

A glimpse of Hall 1 at HKCEC
Commuting to HKCEC is never a hassle, thanks to the MTR (subway), buses and ferry services. The Wan Chai MTR station is the closest to the venue and is just a ten minute walk. The Hong Kong International Airport is a 30 minute drive, with a distance of 40kms. Parking spaces for automobile is available at the Expo Drive Central Carpark and Convention Plaza Car Park (Harbour Rd). As for accommodation, you never have to worry as there are hundreds of options within walking distance. The HKCEC offers easy access to Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel, St Regis Hong Kong and Grand Hyatt Hong Kong as well.
