About Spectrum Center
Spectrum Center is like the second home for basketball lovers in Charlotte, North Carolina. The indoor arena that is owned by the city of Charlotte has been home to NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. Opened in the year 2005, Spectrum Center is a venue frequented by sport lovers. Besides basketballs, it also hosts concerts and entertainment events. For basketball, it has a seating capacity of close to 20,000. For concerts it can seat close to 18,500. Formerly known as Time Warner Cable Arena, owing to the naming rights, the venue boasts of one of the largest center-hung scoreboards in the NBA.

While still photography is allowed, the venue prohibits audio or video recording. According to the website, doors open one hour prior to all events and 60 minutes before Hornets games. As for transportation, the venue is located in uptown Charlotte and fans can conveniently commute through bus, light rail or cabs. The Charlotte Transportation Center station is just a three minute walk. Also, there are more than 30,000 parking spaces around Spectrum Center. Those travelling on their own automobile can pre-book parking before event.
