About Glossier
Founded in 2014, Glossier is a cosmetic brand that focuses on beauty routines and is in the market with skincare, makeup, fragrances and body care products. The story of Glossier goes back to when Emily Weiss, a fashion assistant at Vogue, started blogging about makeup in the early morning hours before reporting at the office. Her website was a sensation, and in just a year, it started generating ad sales. With a good source of income at hand, Emily quit her job at Vogue and founded ‘Into the Gloss’, in 2010. Into the Gloss was more of a mecca to women who were all ears about the latest skin trends and makeup products. The platform was interactive, where people with similar interests communicated with other beauty fans. Weiss was monitoring the portal, and based on the interactions, she got a more clear insight about the likes and dislikes of beauty enthusiasts and she started developing her beauty line, Glossier. The company was launched into a much receptive audience of ‘Into the Gloss’ which had a following of 1.5 million. Â
Glossier has a product range of 40 SKUs, and all of them are focused on skincare, colour cosmetics and fragrances. The idea of the brand is to celebrate natural beauty and not the painted-on kind of artificial cosmetic products. The initial collection of Glossier included four products: a priming moisturiser, a cleanser, a misting spray and lip balm. These four products got the company rolling, and the rest is history. Some of the current favourites of the company include Milk Jelly Cleanser, Super Bounce, Super Pure, Future Dew, Super Glow, Priming Moisturiser, Priming Moisturiser Balance and Bubble Wrap. Glossier has been named as the top beauty brand by Teen Vogue, Nylon, Allure, Glamour and Cosmopolitan The company has won the Digital Innovator award of 2015 and was also named as top start-ups of 2018 on LinkedIn’s Top Start-ups list. Shopping on Glossier is easy. You can either browse a particular category or click on ‘shop all’. Once you have added the items into the bag, you can proceed for payment using MasterCard, Visa, Discover, GPay or PayPal.
The estimated shipping time varies according to regions. It takes 5-7 business days for orders to ship in the United States under standard shipping and 2-3 business days for shipping under ‘Rush’. Glossier ships to the US, Puerto Rico, the Republic of Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, France and Canada. If you wish to return or exchange any of the items ordered, you can reach out to the service team via email. The team will assist you with the return or exchange process. Customers do have an option to cancel within one hour of placing an order.Â
Glossier is so horrible on online and in stores. A couple months ago in October I purchased the Olivia Rodrigo collection and I did the whole package anyway after I put my credit card information and paid for it. I did not get a order confirmation or order number as days go buy and I am worried because I did 1-2 day shipping and it is still not here. I tell my brother to contact them and days later they finally responded saying there was a glitch with my order. They have sent me only half of what I paid for and not the main thing.
I have placed the same order twice with Glossier. Twice they have cancelled the order in the span of about an hour or so. They sent an email about it being potentially fraudulent each time. I responded to customer service, but they have not gotten back to me. I sent a message to customer service after placing the same order for the second time, stating that the charges are not fraudulent, that it is a Christmas gift, and that I have not been contacted by my credit card company about anything regarding possible fraud. I’ve ordered from several places recently (as people do at Christmas time), plus done grocery and other shopping. My card has not once been declined and no other orders have been flagged or cancelled. Glossier cancelled the order anyway. I would say that if a business’s customer service is unreliable, they basically have no business, because without it, they cannot hope to keep customers.
I’m a Canadian customer and I ordered on the Glossier.com website (November 2022) and their website states that they charge in Canadian dollars (which they did) and that shipping, Canadian taxes and duty are all included in what you have to pay on their website however this is not the case. When I received my package through Canada post I received a bill to pay for the duty. So don’t go by what is said on their website. You still have to pay duty. The product is not worth the total price I had to pay in the end.
I am so disappointed in Glossier’s customer service. I never received an order I placed and despite trying to contact them, they never respond. I simply want another order sent.

I opened dispute for orders that was returned and i have not received my refund . try contacting customers support service, not working … Aliexpress promised to refund the money yesterday 18.2.2021 but no refund
