CTM is a leading telecommunications company in Macau, China, founded in the year 1981. Officially operating as Companhia de Telecomunicacoes de Macau, CTM currently offers voice, mobile data, fixed telephone and Internet services. Employing over 1,100, CTM offers its products and services through the stores spread across the city and also online on the website. Part of CITIC Telecom International, CTM has been laying a strong 4G and fiber optic network to provide high speed connectivity. The company is also keeping in pace with the world by investing in 5G network construction. The WiFi hotspot meanwhile already has a wide coverage. There are currently over 2,500 free hotspots covering various districts.
New customers can visit one of the eight outlets to subscribe to mobile or Internet. You can also learn about the services and request for call back on the website. All the current offers and promotions are featured on the homepage. If you have a handset that supports eSIM, you can conveniently scan a QR code to activate service without a physical card. As for the mobile prepaid options, you have IDD Prepaid Card, Social Card, Online Everywhere in Macau Prepaid Card (for visiting tourists) and Mainland China-Hong Kong-Macau Prepaid Card (for instant use and roaming activation in 3 destinations). Along with it, you can choose a plan for restricted data or unlimited data usage. The services vary according to the plan selected. Residential users can also choose from fixed telephony and Internet broadband. For individual or family use, users can activate the 10Gbps Fiber Plan. There is no cap on the usage each month. There are also home Internet plans starting from 50Mbps to 1Gbps. An installation fee will be charged for new customers. Note that fiber broadband is only applicable to locations covered by fiber optics. You can enjoy 24-hours high speed Internet access through WiFi for as low as $5. There are more than 2,000 CTM WiFi hotspots to choose from. To activate, simply open the CTM WiFi landing page and select the required service along with period. Upon successful payment, you will receive details to use the service. CTM WiFi services can be accessed at banks, malls, restaurants and shopping outlets.
