Bhutan Telecom is a state-owned telecommunications company offering a range of mobile, fixed line and Internet services to subscribers across the Kingdom of Bhutan. The company was founded in 2000 and operates from its headquarters at Thimphu. The key products consist of fixed lined, broadband, mobile prepaid, postpaid and cloud services. The mobile services are offered under the brand B-Mobile, while Internet services under DrukNet. Bhutan Telecom boasts of having a robust optical fiber network that covers the entire nation. It is leaving no stone unturned to scale up its infrastructure and implement 5G network across towns. As of 2020, Bhutan Telecom had an active mobile subscriber base of close to 423,000. The fixed line customer base touched close to 23,000 during the same period.
