I bought a nokia 1 series in Dec 2018, what a complete waste of my money! The fon was breaking up on its own, charging system gave me problems, back cover broke when it had a case, Sim card holder broke on its own, now it’s refusing to even read my sim! Please people don’t buy this nokia shit, rather you didn’t upgrade to smart phones and stayed where you were doing best, feature phones?
I am using a Nokia 6.1 that I bought in 2018 from Edgars Stores at Festival Mall Kempton Park. I bought it in August of that year meaning that by today it ran a full 2 years. Now the phone has indicated that the battery is finished, so each time I need to make a call I must plug it to the charger or it switches off in the middle of the call and sometimes as I charge it, it just goes black.
First, i contacted Nokia South Africa on 086 1166 542, this number doesnt work. You call the other Head Office number its the same result no response. What is them problem. My fone is in good condition and I dont want to replace it but what do I do? I have also discovered that you no longer make batteries or you dont want us to replace bettries but rather you want us buy new fones instead. I find it frustrating andf very greedy.
Hi, I bought Nokia 3 back in 2017 December, now it has stopped charging I assume that the charging system is the problem. Help me find a place around Midrand where I can take it to be fixed. Thank you in advance.
I purchased a Nokia 3,1 I March 2019, during April 2020 the phone’s battery became swollen and damaged the rear cover. I sent the phone to the Incredible Connection Pillow and, where I purchased the phone from for a repair.I sent the 2 year guarantee with the phone and I was
Informed that I would be charged R1,100 for the repair as the battery is on.y guaranteed for 6 months. I feel that this is totally wrong.
Hi, i purchased a Nokia 5.1 for my brother, the phone seems to be giving a lot of problems as for the touch screen and phone freezing so he would have to lock the phone and unlock it then it navigates.
We’ve been emailing Nokia within the 7 day rule. No response. What’s going on
Please assist me.
I upgraded to a Nokia 7.2, great camera but the rest is worst case. Phone freezes and the software is not worth the try. Applications keeps on uninstalling by itself don’t ask me how. Transfer our photos and boom cone is the photos, transfer again and boom, can’t open file. Not a happy camper.
My NOKIA 5 earpiece speaker and camera have stopped working after i was caught by a rain while walking home..So i wan’a know which NOKIA repair centre is close to Me. I’m staying in Johannesburg Auckland Park.
I have purchased a Nokia 5 a few months back and it keeps switching off. It’s got a blank screen now with NOKIA on the screen. It hasn’t been on for the past 3days, I always charge it but still nothing.
I am very disappointed and frustrated. You guys really need to upgrade your cell phone game.
I regret purchasing a NOKIA, and I will never purchase it again in my life.

I purchased a Nokia 2.1 the phone is good but there are some things that are worrying me. The touch for 1. You have to PRESS not touch certain parts of the phone like when I’m typing a message or playing a game for it to work. For a 4g phone the downloads are a bit slow. And the screen goes wonky at times, when you are changing your wallpaper especially the ones on your phone the screen looks ok on the top half but the bottom half is looking lit up, way brighter then the top it doesn’t even out.
I am so sorry that I ever bought a Nokia phone. If I could give it back tomorrow I would. It is even impossible to get through to your customer service. It looks like you are a poor example of a decent phone provider. What you read about Nokia and the truth is two different things. Could you please let me know if there is a Nokia store somewhere where I could take my phone to a technician to have a look at it. It is still under guarantee. If this message is received I could be grateful if someone could please reply.
Thanks,
Vernon Lucas
Hi,I bought a Nokia 3 on 4 Jan 2018 & it started switching itself off for hours on end and I booked it in in on 27 July 2018 at Alpha cellular-Microsoft device care-nokia care in Durban and the problem was solved but the phone came back with a new problem: its camera could no longer make videos. I booked it back in on September 27 and since then I haven’t seen my phone and when I call them they keep telling me to wait another week .This is very disheartening because I use my phone to run my business, now I am stuck with a borrowed phone that I can’t even WhatsApp on.Please help.
I have a lumia 520 which is displaying unable to find bootable option…is it possible to get new motherboard or reinstall my windows at your stations….if possible ship it to SA where it was assembled
Good day. I have a Nokia 5 that I got as a contract phone through MTN. The phone gave me problems right from the word go. When it was put on charge the phone got so hot you could not pick it up. When the charge was full, I had to leave it to cool down before picking it up. By that time the whole phone would be soaking wet from condensation. About a month after I got the phone, it suddenly started making strange lines on the screen and then just went blank. I sent it in to MTN and they came back to me and told me it was water damage. I have never even had the phone anywhere close to water. Don’t even take my phone with me when I go to the bathroom. They say that “water damage” is not covered by the guarantee. I did contact them right in the beginning and told them about the phone overheating and getting soaked by condensation. They told me that this was “normal”. I am now sitting with an expensive phone, that I am paying for every month, that cannot be used. I need to know what can be done about it.
Gorilla Screen? More like being taken for a monkey!
When I expressed interest in the new Nokia range, more specifically the Nokia 5 (which I eventually purchased). I was told the screen was so strong that I wouldn’t need a cover, the “Gorilla screen WONT shatter like a Samsung would”, and there I was picking up pieces of shattered glass off the floor after I accidentally dropped my phone. Now because the “Gorilla screen” I am being quoted R2000 to get a replacement for a phone worth about R3 500 at best. Atleast with a Samsung you know what to expect so you are ready with a cover and insurance, no one is deceptive about the superiority of their product.
I can only describe Nokia service as bad as their phones. Where in all your life have you seen a company as big as Nokia not having a proper phone system. Their head office Telkom line is always busy, after a while a voice will tell you they are busy and you should leave a message after the beep. Forget this, you will never hear from them, ever.
Their 0801 number simply says the line is busy and ends the call. Disgusting service, disgusting after sales service. Disgusting products. This company needs to be taken on. I personally will start with a complaint to the consumer council, and every form of media will know my story, and others dissatisfied customers.
I have been trying for hours to contact Nokia customer service and have had no reply to my call except for a Voice mail. Most unsatisfactory.
I am using Nokia E63, I have never had problems with it, now it has just out of a blue just shown a screen requiring me to put in a lock code. it has just rendered itself useless as I cannot do anything with it now except to receive calls, please help me to remove this.
I am looking for a Nokia 105 but the earlier version that has a “speaking clock”. You can still get the latest Nokia 105 but it does not have the “speaking clock” option. I tried many stores but not successful. This is for a BLIND PERSON – he used to have this phone but it has since been broken and he is now lost without his phone. Kindly advise where can I maybe get one – living in Pretoria, Gauteng.
I think the launch of the new basic phone that Nokia 150 basic phone you are launching is moving towards: simplicity is the ultimate sophistication..I have an idea for Nokia to even push sales. Who can I contact to discuss?
Afternoon
Trust this email finds you well.
Refer to the above and confirm that for 2 weeks now WhatsApp kept on telling me I must update and I don’t get notifications of whatsapp, I have to go in to see if i have a msg.
I tried to upgrade but it kept on telling me loading and loading. I’ve tried it so many times.
This morning I decided to uninstall my WhatsApp app.
Since then I have been trying to download it, all it says is download but nothing is happening.
I’ve switched of the phone took out my sim. Restart my phone
Is the phone not download WhatsApp anymore, because it doesn’t have a problem downloading other apps.
Would appreciate it if someone can assist me.
Looking forward to hear from you.
I feel your pain people and trust me there’s no way in hell im letting my situation jst go. I refused to be ripped off from my hard earned cash. If i knew what I know now i would’ve never bought a phone from nokia or Vodacom ever again.
I purchased a Nokia Lumia 1320 on 21/02/2015 cash at Edgars. When I experienced problems and went back to Edgars i was referred to Vodacom repair centre in Canal Walk.
I booked my phone in for repairs not knowing that i would return on 6 times afterwards for repairs again. The 2nd last time whn i told the assistant that i don’t want the device back, she just ignored me and booked it in again for repairs. I refused to accept it back on return but was told by one of Vodacom’s managers that they can only motivate for an exchange but it’s unlikely that Nokia will exchange it or refund me. The manager advised me to take the phone as to “test” it and i should contact her immediately if i experience any further problems. As expected the phone gv problems again and again I booked it in but this time I told them that I will not accept it back. I was contacted by Vodacom after a few weeks with “good news” that the device will be exchanged. I asked if it will be a sealed device and I was told yes but whn I fetched the new device it was the exact phone with my old back cover. The only thing different was the IMEI numbers which makes the current phone a “new” phone.
I took the phone because I was honestly jst mentally and physically exhausted by this whole phone thing. Guess what? 2 days later the so-called new device gives the same problem as the old!
I immediately sent Vodacom an email and took the phone to the repair centre again. I also spoke to one of their assistant managers and explained me situation again. She advised to send another email to their head office which I did and im still awaiting reply from Vodacom and Nokia.
I will never ever purchase a phone from Nokia or Vodacom again and I shall advise whomever to please not waste your money like i did.
I am definitely not letting this go. I will hv this matter resolved either way.
I have a Nokia L820 and what a piece of junk its turning out to be. Week 2 of purchase the charger stops working, week 4 the phone doesn`t see my memory card anymore, week 20 people can`t hear me so the mic stops working, have to use a headphone with a mic. The week after I bought the phone the Nokia shop at Vodaworld closes. Personally I think Nokia is going cheap and after years of being Nokia only I think it`s time to change. I did go to the Vodashops for assistance but no one can fix anything. Now my phone is doing some upgrade that has so far taken 25mins and telling me it will be worth the wait………….Windows 8.1 better be worth the wait cos the rest of this phone is really bad.
