About Vivint Arena
Vivint Arena is a large sports arena located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Home to the professional NBA basketball team Utah Jazz, the indoor stadium opened in the year 1991. The stadium was formerly known by names Delta Center, Salt Lake Ice Center and EnergySolutions Arena. Also home to AFL’s Utah Blaze and WNBA’s Utah Starzz, Vivint Arena boasts a seating capacity of 20,000. Additionally, there are a number of hospitality options for a premier game experience. Each year, Vivint Arena hosts more than 100 events, welcoming about 1.8 million guests.
Located in the downtown Salt Lake City, the arena is within walking distance from top landmark buildings and leisure destinations. Spread across 3.79 acres, Vivint Arena is not only visited for the basketball games but also for concerts and entertainment events held year round. Box Office is open Monday to Friday from 9am and on weekends from 12pm (varies by event).

Note that for non-Jazz events, the first day of general public sales are only available for purchase online. You can also look for premium seating. There are about 56 luxury suites and a large number of club seats. Options include Courtside Suites, Lexus Club, Toyota Club and Loge Box. The Courtside Suites can accommodate up to 12-18 people and comes with first-class amenities. The seating maps available online on the web or smartphone app shows the seating locations, including the suites, club seats and dining options.
Vivint Arena can be accessed through bus, train or light rail. You can take the TRAX Blue or Green Line to reach Arena Station, which is the nearest to the venue. There are number of parking options as well. There are thousands of parking spots available for booking online. Note that for all Utah Jazz games and major concerts, doors open to the general public 60 minutes prior to start. Guests are prohibited from bringing bags, large banners, backpacks, professional cameras, video recording devices, weapons, firearms, laser pointers, signs, outside food and beverage, strollers, tripods, illegal substances, to name a few.
For lost and found items you can approach the Guest Services locations at Door 4/Portal Y on the Main Level and Portal CC on the Terrace Level/Upper Bowl. If you are a Utah Jazz fan, don’t miss out shopping at the team store. Jerseys, t-shirts, shorts, hats, bags, drinkware and footwear can be purchased at the store located at Plaza Level.
I have season tickets and have been going to the Jazz games 20+ years. My dad (who is 83 years old) and I exited the building after the game on January 20 on the west side closest to the TRAX station. There are no handrails because they are all blocked off with yellow tape. There is nothing to grab onto for anyone who is frail. He got to the 2nd from the bottom step and fell. I could not pick him up. He’s a 6’3″ man. Luckily for me there were people around who helped me lift him up. We ended up taking him to the ER to make sure all was okay. My point is you need handrails available  before OSHA comes through and finds out they are NOT available.
Can you please increase the size of the concert clutch allowed? Since our “phone” is required for entry but most phones do not fit in a 4x6x2 bag. I don’t wear my phone in my pocket and not all clothing has pockets. Thanx so much for giving this some thoughtful consideration.
