Swiggy is an online food ordering company based out of Bangalore, India. The company was founded by entrepreneurs Rahul Jaimini, Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy in 2014. Swiggy has a network of more than 6,000 delivery staff. Currently, the platform lists restaurants in major metros like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
The food ordering and delivery company has no minimum order policy. Customers can order food on the web or through the official smartphone app for iOS and Android. Simply input your location and you can see the popular restaurants around the area. You can order by food type, restaurant name, offers or free delivery. On the restaurant page, you can see the ratings, address, and the entire menu. Add the items you would like to be delivered and proceed to payment.
Online ordering can be made using major debit or credit cards. Delivery fee varies and will be applicable if order value is below a certain amount. Once an order has been confirmed, users can track the status of delivery and the timeframe. Note that customers can edit their order before it reaches the restaurant.
Cancellation is not possible after an order has been confirmed. If a cancellation request has been made after food has been confirmed, you might be charged a cancellation fee with option of receiving refund. My original concern was food but after reaching to you, it became worst. Please try to improve your customer service or else people will definitely choose Zomato over you. Like now I am going to leave you, of course after this experience and will cascade the behaviour of your employee with me. As you can see how many times I messaged and she didnโt bother to respond. She disconnected the call!
Swiggy’s services are worse. It’s been 2 hours and I haven’t yet received my order. I suggest you to never order food using swiggy. Zomato is better than swiggy. Worst ever experience.

I had spillage issue on one of my order, There is no refund option as well, Such bad response from Swiggy……..I guess the Swiggy delivery executive had consumed ha;f of the dish on the road itself.
Such poor and pathetic service from Swiggy..
I had placed an order today from swiggy to be delivered at my home address which is a saved address in swiggy.
I had ordered from my office which is roughly 1.5km from my home address. But the address given was of my saved home address.
My gps was off at that time. After I reached home I got a call from delivery boy enquiring about location.
I again clearly gave the address and then switched on my location for his convenience.
Next I received a call from one of your executives saying that the home address is 29km away from gps location (which was not the case and she was misinformed ) and that the order has to be cancelled and charge of Rs70 would be deducted.
Firstly if I had ordered to my home address why was gps address been tracked? (though at that time I was at my home location same as delivery address). I was inside my house at the time of the call so there was question of ambiguity even in that case.
The lady persisted with her theory that only gps location is seen which is not right. And kept on arguing that only gps location is followed which is wrong as I am quite aware that swiggy delivery is possible at addresses given by customer. I had also asked her not to cancel since it was not my mistake and I shoudnt be paying any cancellation charges. I also asked her to wait till I spoke on a complaint number. But she kept on insisting adamantly that orders are delivered only at gps location. She could not give a satisfactory answer to my queries and was herself misinformed. Then though I had objected she cancelled the order.
In the mean time the delivery boy had reached my location but by the time he could come, the order got cancelled because of the executive’s assumption that there was problem with location.
I had also asked the lady to wait but she cancelled it.
I later called up customer care and got refund. But I am thoroughly disappointed with the service and behaviour.
Kindly explain this kind of behaviour.
I have ordered a subway from swiggy, I selected from the menu given by restaurant. Paid by debit card and restaurant accepted my order. It showed it will take 42 mins to deliver, so thought of having quick shower after long day work. Meanwhile I had 2 missed calls then after I had call which I answered it was from swiggy they said restaurant person wants to talk to you then they did con call with them. He said that bread which I ordered is out of stock and gave me other options I accepted alternative bread. After few seconds my ordered was cancelled. And now they are saying do a fresh order pay again and we will deliver and payment for earlier order will be refunded after 4 days. I have got only Rs.200 in my account tonight what u want me to do. I am still hungry and is going to sleep hungry….
I have ordered on 11th March the order got cancelled and twice the amount was deducted a sum of 500rs is yet to be refunded. It has been 11days.and every time the customer care says it will be refunded in 7-9working days
I had ordered food through Swiggy on 18th Feb 2019 at 7.15 pm. First after 20 mins I get a call from the Swiggy delivery boy that the outlet has not got the food I had ordered. He made me speak with the Mithaas executive also said that we don’t have 1Kg pineapple cake and in lieu of it we will give you 2 half Kgs cake. I said since I need only 1 cake so give me 1 half kg and refund me the other 1/2 kg amount. The Mithaas representative was so rude that he refused and told me to contact the swiggy customer care. When I asked the Mithaas executive that when you don’t have the things why didn’t to show it of Swiggy so that we won’t have ordered it, here also he replied if I do so then my sale will go low, Then I called the customer care again and got the food modified and got the cake cancelled or which I was told that Rs 630 will be refunded. Then come another story the food is delivered to me at 8.17 pm and that too in a damage condition. All the dal / panner / Chola packing were burst and the same was spread all over the polythene in which the food had come. The orders packaging has been tampered.
The executive / delivery boy Ravendra Singh was so smart that he delivered the tampered food and ran away immediately. When I called him back he said I didn’t see that the food was tampered and immediately said it was poor packing….Iโm surprised even a blind could see that the polythene is wet and the dals had come out of the packaging spoiling the breads also.
When I asked him to help in replacement he said I can’t do anything call the customer care and at 8.17 pm I got the ordered replaced as advised by the customer care executive and told the ordered will be replaced within 40-45 mins….But till 9.32 pm the order was showing as pending due to rain….
Again I will ask how much rain it was …was there a storm…that the person couldn’t deliver….And then I see the order is cancelled by the Swiggy person…
My whole birthday party was spoiled due to all this…The order I made at around 7.15 pm was not able to be delivered to me till 9.32 pm in a good condition…At 9.30 pm I again called and spoke with Abdul ( executive of Swiggy) for registering a complaint against Mithaas restaurant and Swiggy delivery boy ) and refund my money Rs 1789โฆ which I had paid through credit card. He said I will get the solution / refund within 24 hrsโฆ. Hope the complaint cell works better and will reply within timeline.
