Ram is pathetic, I ordered a SIM card from rain and they said it would be delivered last week Wednesday 01/02/23. When I made the order I explained that I don’t have my ID book with but I have a certified copy and can produce my drivers license to verify that it is me and they said it would be fine. When the driver arrived there was a huge issue because I didn’t have my ID and refused to hand over my package. The driver was extremely rude and not helpful at all. They attempted delivery again today and they phoned to let me know they are at the gate and I told them I will be there in 5 minutes if they would wait for me. As I arrived at the gate they were busy driving away and wouldn’t wait. I called customer service asking if they could put me through to them and I was told that they would turn around and deliver and that never happened. When you speak to their drivers they are unfriendly and have no customer service at all. They even told me if they tell you a time you better make sure that you are there. The problem with that is you arrange times with them and they can’t even stick to it.
My daughter’s new phone was delivered to our home and the driver refused to give it to me, he required my husband’s ID book. I then explained that he was overseas currently and furnished him with a certified copy of his ID book, my ID book, my passport, and a marriage certificate. None would suffice! Which in my opinion is beyond ridiculous. I then explained that my husband would be back on the 15 -17 Dec and to please bring the parcel back then. He did not! I have phoned their tracking call center a few times and have sat waiting to speak to a human for over 1 hour when they tell you your wait will only be 4 minutes. Needless to say I never got to speak to a human. So I went online and found out how to tracked the parcel myself, and I see they have returned it to JHB after saying that I wasn’t at home to receive it! I am next-level frustrated and annoyed! You better up your game Ram!
I agree wholeheartedly with the previous comments. RAM are the worst Courier service I have ever encountered. My cell phone was stolen on Thursday, 1 December and I still have not received the upgrade until today, 7 December, despite the upgrade being processed on the same day. I cannot even get through to them to query why. RAM Couriers epitomizes South Africa perfectly!!! NO SERVICE DELIVERY!!! Literally in their case.
Not sure why Vodacom uses Ram. This is the 4th time my parcel is being returned to Vodacom especially when I specified days of delivery and ram cannot seem to get this right.. the consultant calls and I advise the date and time and they still can’t get the delivery drop off correct. The sms’s are not sent out to advise that the delivery is on its way but the consultant insists itvwas sent. The call center staff are nonchalant and don’t care.. all they say is call vodacom.. this is ridiculous and terrible service from RAM Couriers.
If I had a choice I would never use them for deliveries
Not sure why Vodacom keep using RAM. Driver and assistant very rude. Driving like a race car driver. Will send formal complain to RAM and Vodacom. Called assistant to say I am home with ID and she said I can wait for next day for delivery!!
I wish Vodacom would use a beter courier service. This is not my 1st irritating and hair pulling encounter with Ram. Everytime we are forced to use them there are lies and excuses. I am waiting for my upgrade from vodacom which was out for delivery today. I was watching the tracking all day and no phone call from Ram. At 5pm I decide to phone Ram myself. The man that answered put me on hold to check where the driver’s are. He proceeds to tell me the driver’s are far away and it is knock off time for the driver’s, please can they deliver in the morning by 8am which I then said it is fine but they better be on time as I need to to leave by 8am. At 17.46 a lady from Ram contacts me and says due to the business being closed the driver’s could not deliver, can we set another time for tomorrow. Well I almost lost it, as this is a farm and we live on the farm and work on the farm. I asked her how on earth did they go from being far away to at our gate in minutes and I thought their knock off time was at 5pm.???? Now on Ram tracking it states unavailable business closed???? Are you guys being serious? The gate was opened and we were waiting. This courier company is a joke honestly.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Customer desk does not help with anything and purported driver who roam around with parcels nowhere to be found. He can’t even contact the receiver.
Driver was extremely rude. Told me he was waiting for me, why did I take so long and next time he won’t wait for me!!! After signing for my parcel and him still going on about the long wait, he eventually sped away like a maniac.
It’s been three days of waking up to “your parcel has been sent out for delivery” text to ending the day with “unsuccessful delivery”. I honestly don’t understand why my parcel is not being prioritized like the rest. Yesterday I was told the drivers ran out of time and the agent profusely apologized and reassured me that I will receive my parcel by the end of business day. Today I called twice, I was once again reassured that I will receive my parcel by the end of business day but I still did not receive my parcel.
Please train your drivers to do better. Their lack of urgency is such an inconvenience.

Poor service. I have been waiting for 2 days. When I go onto parcel tracking it says UNSUCCESSFULL DELIVERY IN Cape Town – Documents Missing – All. It is to my house. I haven’t left my house in those two days. So where has the driver been going?
Absolutely dismal service from contact agents @ Ram couriers. After receiving two calls that were immediately dropped upon answering I call back and am assured it was a connectivy issue. Told I will be called once the driver is in the area. Fwd. to 5pm no one has contacted me an no delivery. I call in to have both calls ended after 17 & 8 minutes while I am trying to find out what happened to my delivery. No one bother to call me back & both agents have my details. Find it hard to believe that this is the type of service Ram couriers pride themselves on.
I thought RAM was one of the best couriers. Today proved that not only does your customer service centre fail in service but your drivers have no regard for customers at all….
They wouldn’t even get out their car to deliver the package… I had to walk all the way to the car window. And here I was at home being sick and all but RAM employees don’t really care about that do they. Catch a damn wake up.
RAM COURIER driver failed to contact me when they were supposed to deliver my parcel instead they just delivered to someone else so they dont need to come back. I ended up asking my whole street as i dont know the people in the street due to recently moving in the area, totally unprofessional and no respect for a persons good purchased. They failed to even check in with me to find out if i know the people.
Ram is the most unreliable courier service I have ever come across. The delivery guy has taken my parcel to the wrong place two days in a row and then calls me and says that I must follow up with the company. I gave the correct address instead of assuming where to go the driver should verify where to drop off the parcel. I called customer care care twice and was told to hold on and the agents both transferred my call to someone else who also kept transferring the call. I am beyond annoyed with this poor service it is disgusting the rate of poor customer service.
It’s been over two weeks ram driver promising to deliver. Today it’s for the second time going back with my parcel. He doesn’t call to let me know that he is delivering i am the one who needs to call after hearing from the neighbors that ram vehicle was around. When i call him the only this he does was to be rude.

Ram has no customer service nor they understand what they are doing. Yesterday I got a call from ram couriers regarding my parcel I told her I was at work but going home she said she will deliver at home because she was closer there, she got home before me and I instructed my daughter to carry her ID and sign for my parcel she refused to leave it today. I went to collect the parcel myself at their offices, she refused again because I had my driver’s license as a form of identification not an ID she said she does not work with license as a form of identification. How rude is that.
Yesterday the guy who was supposed to deliver my parcel made us wait whole day. Late Yesterday I tracked my order all to find out he reported by dispatch that he didn’t find us while we were waiting for him since 08:57am till now. We have a poof of the conversation between him an I. Your drivers are rude an you do nothing about it..

How on earth do you send your drivers to knowingly do a third party delivery and then get to the customer and say they have no 3rd party info and can’t leave the parcel.
So according to them, they knew a 3rd party was receiving the parcel, but wouldn’t leave the parcel cause they didn’t know who this 3rd party was? Doesn’t even make sense to waste my time and their own time with this idiotic reasoning. The manager Tebhogo promised to phone me back, but couldn’t even do that. Pathetic service!
Your driver is extremely rude. He left with my parcel when I told him I didn’t have my ID book with me. ( 10/02/2022) I produced my Driving License but instead of telling me to fetch my ID book inside the house, that little rascal drove away with my parcel. No body called me about the delivery in the first place. Rudeness is always a sign of something negative.
I am very disappointed in there service. One would think it would be about the customer but no they are more important. It’s not the drivers fault but the company themselves. Get your priorities straight or there will be no one left to make use of your services. I for one will never again use you guys to deliver anything.
I was at work yesterday, but expected RAM to make a home delivery. Nobody contacted me to confirm that I would be at home. RAM made the home visit but could not deliver. I advised that I would be home today and I was stranded here the WHOLE day! RAM never arrived today but the delivery status showed that I was again at work – this is a blatant lie!
I have never had such disgusting service. Ram have been saying for a week that my delivery is out for delivery.. Still waiting. No one has contacted me in regards to the address or anything. I have phoned them daily with my contact details..
I was supposed to receive a delivery today. I contacted your customer service department and the lady I spoke to was very rude she dropped the call on me. The driver claims that he had gone out when I had been checking and tracking my package the whole day. I had specifically asked for the driver to contact me when me he was 5 minutes away. Because I knew they are not allowed into the building. The person I spoke to only updated the status of the package after she dropped the call. I had spent over an hour waiting for a delivery and only to be mistreated and lied to by your agents. This highly unacceptable and I am not sure why you ask it we have any delivery requests if you will not adhere to that or your schedule
I have always purchased goods by companies that use Ram. Even last week twice they delivered to me. On the 3rd Dec I received an email to say my parcel is out for delivery. Then on Monday I see on the tracker they lied about attempting to call me and my address and cell was incorrect. Then I called the customer service center who confirmed my details that it is in fact correct. She said it will be delivered today. The driver then calls me to explain that the address is not in GPS which I am aware of. I explained to him like any other courier where I lived. He then asked me if I’m home and that he will see me shortly. 2 hours later I received another email from Ram saying my address is incorrect. Ram has delivered countless times to my address. I have been wasting my time waiting at home for a parcel to still arrive. RAM where are your business ethics in terms of integrity and professionalism. I commend the branch manager of DSV who goes the extra mile to personally deliver parcels. That’s excellent client service. You should learn from them.
I would like to complain about my parcel that was supposed to be delivered on the 19th Friday last week & the driver called to say he was at my work place in the morning & I told him that i am not yet at work as i left the clear instructions with Vodacom to say they need to call me first before coming to my work place as i am not always there when i tried to re arrange with the driver he told me he can’t the company policy doesn’t allow them to come twice once i missed the delivery i just need to forget it.
Ram drivers treat customers as if they doing them a favour, they are full of bad attitude i must say, i had to cancel the delivery & those people in the customer service they are so incompetent…can’t return customers calls.
I am also one of many customers who are not satisfied by the ram service. I have been told that the driver called me and my phone was on voicemail but to my surprise i never received any notification. My parcel was sent back to their hub. I keep on calling them trying to make alternative arrangement as they never respond to emails. But they keep on telling me different stories. My parcel has been with them for over a week now. I have never experienced something like this with other couriers as this is not the first time I order online.
