Rain is the latest and fastest growing network provider of South Africa. The data-only network operator began in the year 2019 with headquarters located at Johannesburg. They have made networking and internet access reach a major milestone in South Africa by introducing the 5G network. Rain is driving us nuts. It was working ok up until 2 weeks ago now for the last 2 weeks it goes off for 4 hours on perhaps 2 to 3 hours throughout the day and night almost exactly the same times. Send emails but no reply. Phone but am just told to reboot router or move it. We are not idiots. Bought new router no change. Took everything to a friend up the road who also has rain and not having a problem and mine did exactly the same at his house as at mine. Not loadshedding as we kzn and have not had loadshedding for days. Work from home so productivity at a standstill. Where to from here.
Your back up service is non existent, the staff have no idea what they are doing at your call center and just hang up when you ask for a supervisor or manager. Why bother having a call center if you only have untrained staff who can’t understand English or help. It seems that you are good for one thing only, and that is taking your money each month. A reply from you I am sure won’t happen but would be appreciated would be appropriate.
I’ve got the full rain package but I’m very frustrated because it works maybe 2 hours a day and the rest of the day it just doesn’t load. A friend of mine had the same problem and they replaced it with the new round type router and he’s problem was resolved. If I don’t get get help I’m gonna have to cancel my subscription because I work from home and it’s really inconveniencing me.
Terrible service. They keep on deducting money from you even after you cancel and they don’t return it. Choosing rain was the worst decision I ever made. If you are still considering registration with them. Please don’t even.
I have been struggling with rain for months now, my debit order goes through every 1st day of each month, every month they block my wifi on the 25th. I have wifi for 20 days a month the rest of the time no internet access. I have been phoneing support for months, no one answers, I have send 1000 of email, no response, but every debit order is for the full amount.
I have been trying to get help from rain..instead I get sent from 1 pillar to the next..I sent them relevant documentation since my router was stolen..but still taking money from my account and can’t get help from the bank either..why is this company still existing??
They are quick to call an urge you to pay but the service is terrible. I haven’t had network for the past 2 days and they didn’t even bother to respond to my emails nor calls. I have made the worst decision ever trusting Rain !!!
So very much disappointed in Rain!! How can I get rid of this company! I tried to phone them, send e-mails without any response from them. I cancelled my sim but they still deduct the money. Even FNB can’t assist me to get my money back.

Worst customer experience ever, still waiting for delivery, CCD couriers made delivery promises that they cannot honor. Service is so bad, I am canceling, before I get myself into something that I cannot get out of on a later stage. If the delivery is bad, I can’t wait to see how rain will do.

It’s so sad to see your customer care centre gives a damn about the customers . I have had no internet access from 12 November and sent emails upon emails and up to this very minute I have not received assistance. When it comes to month end a deduction will be done in full. Rain customer service you need to catch a wake up.
I am also not happy with rain at all, the network is always giving me problems when I have to do my work almost everyday. My boss gave me a warning and told me to change a provider but a consultant convinced me to change a Sim and I did but I still experienced the same problems. I couldn’t even login to my app to cancel my membership so I just stopped using the wifi and used another service provider but rain deducted money from my account. I am extremely angry right now, I am fuming!!!! They are so inconsiderate of their customers and it takes hours to get hold of them….. I regret the day I chose to use rain. J
Rain network is pathetic. I have not had internet since Thursday and they told me they have technicians in the area but nothing has been done. This is a waste of money and we have to end up purchasing database bundle.
Rain is the most pathetic service provider out there. The turn around time for them to get back to you is never you have to continue calling them back and they take nearly 10 mins to answer. Customer service sucks always the same excuse i have to escalate the matter to my supervisor who also does absolutely nothing. You should change your name to Eskom as you too leave us in the dark with horrible service. Thanks for nothing.
Rain has the most pathetic service since Telkom. There is just no service or support. There is no structure to complain if you do not get support. In fact, until now, i still did not get any support and i have now logged over 5 tickets because they just ignore the previous one and they close ALL tickets without speaking to me. I have posted on Facebook, they keep deleting any message i post. I phoned several times and then go out of airtime because you hold forever, if i do get through and tell them my problem, then NOTHING HAPPENS and they never come back to you. There is just NO support structure.
