About Nepal Telecom
Nepal Telecom, also known as NTC, was established in the year 2004. The state-owned telecommunications company officially operates as the Nepal Doorsanchar Company Ltd. Headquartered at Kathmandu, NTC offers fixed line, mobile, broadband and IPTV services. Part of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, NTC currently caters to over 23 million mobile and Internet subscribers. Competing with Ncell, another top player in the segment, NTC has significantly invested in bringing new technologies for faster connectivity. The nationwide adoption of 4G/LTE is already being carried out. More than 60 cities currently have access to 3G and 4G technologies. A leader in the fixed telephony segment, services are offered through more than 260 telephone exchanges.

If you have a service related query, be it payment or disconnection of a service, the same can be done at the outlet. And for simply checking balance, making a top up or transferring balance, you can just login to your account on the app. For a new fixed line connection, download the application form online and submit same along with other documents at nearest NTC office. Coming to mobile, NTC offers both prepaid and postpaid service, in addition to roaming and 4G LTE. If opting for the prepaid service, you can instantly activate your number without any deposit. You can purchase recharge cards or top up for a specific amount. The data will be charged on pay-as-you-go basis. There are a number of prepaid packs with daily, weekly and monthly validity. The voice and data features also vary according to each plan. Popular ones include Prepaid Combo Pack – 299, Sajilo Unlimited Prepaid Voice, Sajilo Unlimited Prepaid Data, 45 Min NT-NT Voice Pack for 1 Day, 80 Min NT-NT Voice Pack for 3 Days, 350 MB Data Pack (Eco), 16 GB Data Pack, 30 GB Data Pack, NT All Time 190-min Voice, Night NT-NT 60-min Voice, to name a few. If you are going to travel outside the country, activate a roaming pack to enjoy calls and data without hefty charges.

Mobile users can also opt for postpaid connection to use voice and data without top up. There are special packages as well for postpaid services. The bill payment can be done at the end of month. For those who have a 4G compatible device, you can explore the subscription for 4G/LTE service. With 4G you can enjoy blazing speed for streaming or download. However, do check for network coverage in your location as the expansion of the technology is still underway. Besides 4G LTE, there are other options as well for high speed browsing. You can opt for the NT WiFi hotspots, ADSL service or WiMax broadband. The NT WiMax is available throughout the country with Internet speed ranging from 256 Kbps to 2 Mbps. And lastly not to forget the stable Fiber To The Home (FTTH) connection. Through FTTH you can enjoy high speed broadband, along with television.
