About McDonald’s (Spain)
It was the year 1954, and a quiet town at the edge of a desert, San Bernardo California, was about to be a trigger for what will take the global food market by storm. Some 50 miles in the east of Los Angeles, Maurice and Richard McDonalds started the first McDonald’s. The restaurant then turned into a hamburger outlet and later into an expansive franchise network. Currently, McDonald’s is the largest restaurant chain in the world in terms of revenue. With more than 38000 restaurants running globally, the fast-food giant’s Golden Arches logo is recognized in every part of the world. Ray Kroc purchased the McDonald’s chain from Maurice and Richard McDonalds in 1955. Today, McDonald’s is present in 120 countries, and it serves 70 million customers each day. Going by the number, it should not be hard to imagine the scale at which the company operates. McDonald’s got to Spain in 1981 and is currently spread throughout the country with its 483 restaurants. Employing more than 23000 people in its outlets, McDonald’s has successfully attracted a good chunk of food lovers in Spain. Each year more than 200 million people eat in McDonald’s restaurants in Spain, and the company knows how to make people crave for more. The secret of the loyal customer base in Spain, just like any other country, is its dedication and adaptability towards innovation and local taste.
McDonald’s Spain has come up with a wide variety of services and products based on consumer demographics, economic and local factors. Some of the identical products that McDonald’s offer in Spain and elsewhere includes the McFlurry, McChicken, Happy Meal, Filet-O-Fish, and McNuggets. The strategy behind doing so is to keep a strong niche presence of the top-selling items in the menu, and it also helps save money via the economies of scale. McDonald’s can adapt its business plan and menu to suit the Spanish culture. The introduction of McRoyal Deluxe burger, which offers a better Spanish taste with cheese, fresh tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise, serves as an example of the readiness to adapt to local tastes. Some other products available on the menu include the McDonalds Bacon Grand McExtreme, Signature Collection by McDonald’s Goat Cheese, Signature Collection by McDonald’s Carbonara with Truffle, Big Good, Double McPollo, American Style Chicken, Quarter Pound, McFish, Big Crispy BBQ, Crispy Caesar Salad, Goat Cheese Salad, and Garden Salad.Â
Food lovers can order food via the official McDelivery app, which is available on iOS and Android. Customers can select the items from the menu, add them to their basket, and make payment. McDonald’s delivers the food promptly. If you wish to eat out at McDonald’s, you can search for the nearest McDonald’s outlet from the website’s outlet locator. Any complaints related to food or delivery can be communicated to the McDonalds customer service team via phone or email.
I recently visited your branch in Ayamonte Spain. As we are fans of McDonald’s coffee in the UK. To our huge dismay, there was no coffee on offer. We ended up eating a very basic meal with no beverage. Most disappointing, how can McDonald’s justify not selling coffee in Spain???
