About Lao Airlines
Lao Airlines is the flag carrier of the landlocked Southeast Asian country of Laos. Established in the year 1976, the airline with a fleet of 11 aircraft connects to more than 23 destinations. Headquartered at Vientiane, the airline employs more than 1,000 staff. Flights operate from the hubs at Wattay International Airport and Luang Prabang International Airport. The airline also has codeshare agreements with Aeroflot, Bangkok Airways, Air France, Turkish Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, China Airlines, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Silk Air, Thai Airways, KLM, Garuda Indonesia, Qantas and Qatar Airways.
The company maintains an English language website where you can search for flights and know the schedule. The route map shows the destinations the airline operates flights to. Within Laos, you have flights to Luang Namtha, Luang Prabang, Muang Xay, Pakse, Phonsavan, Savannakhet and Vientiane. International routes include South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Cambodia. The itinerary will have the scheduled departure, along with baggage and ticket terms. Ticket can be reserved online using credit or debit card. Note that the card owner must present the card along with personal identification during check-in. There will be additional charges if you want to correct the name on the ticket or reschedule the journey. For those who have a confirmed ticket, note that Lao Airlines check-in for domestic flights opens 90 minutes prior to departure time. For international flights you have to check-in two hours prior to departure time. On most flights Economy class passengers are allowed one piece of cabin baggage with weight of 7kg. For checked baggage you can carry maximum weight of 20kg. Business class passengers can carry up to 30kg. Do note the baggage restrictions on the website for a smooth journey.
