To complain just for the sake of complaining does no one any good. I visited your store in Whitby yesterday to purchase some stain. After 12 minutes waiting for service I walked out of your store. There was only one other customer in the store. Next I went to your store on Grandview I Oshawa. Have your employee the lid from the stain I wanted which contained all of the mixing information and he mixed the stain. At cash they charged me $7200 for a stain that should have been $45.00. I then proceeded to your store in Brooklyn, had excellent service. Gave them the same information and left store with the stain in about 6 minutes. It is not about the loss of sale in your first two stores, It is about the sour taste left in the customer’s mouth about your lack of service and knowledge from your staff.
I had thought we finally found an interior faux stone to install in our kitchen. With good colors and look. We noticed the price was in flyer at $8/Sq ft. No regular price shown. I thought maybe was a cheaper brand or type. Today I went to store locally. Waited to see attendant at counter and after calculating square footage, color choice we’d like he quoted me more than double the price. I explained that it was shown in flyer at $8/square ft. I was getting strange looks from everyone on store especially the people working there as if I’m the one making this up to scam them.
I never felt so embarrassed in my life. So I searched and found the flyer in my jacket pocket and showed them. The guy made a phone call and in 30 seconds turned to me and said, “sorry it was a mistake in the flyer and they won’t honor it”
So first totally embarrassment and then a slap in the face?
This is how the customers are treated after being a loyal customer for years?
Please someone tell me this did not happen.
Hello, On the 21st of September I ordered a wood stove from the locally circulated Home Hardware flyer through my local Home Hardware Store ( Brockville). The stove in question is a Drolet HT 3000, item #5530925. I was advised it would be at the store early November. On November 2nd I called the store and was advised there was a further delay until late December or early January 1922. On 29 Nov I was checking your website to see if there was anything else suitable and I noticed some of your store locations were showing mid December availability. I then called my local store to inquire about possible updates. I was now told it would be in warehouse late January or possibly February. They did offer an alternative that was considerably smaller for $500.00 more which was basically the regular price. I find this whole scenario questionable and it certainly appears that Home Hardware advertised this stove knowing full well there was no availability. If Home Hardware really cared about customer satisfaction an alternate stove of equivalent size and price would be offered. (These stoves exist on your website) To date no such offer has been extended to me. Please understand that this complaint is not aimed at my local store as I have been treated very well and the staff have been forth rite through this process. Clearly this is a corporate issue.
Hi I was looking at the flyer today and saw the Worxs 110 volt leaf blower on sale, I went to our local store to buy it and they didn’t have any stock on it,they had two on order, non in the warehouse. To get a raincheck I had to prepay it with a December promise date. It would be pretty tough to clean up my leaves in December. Why is there a sale on these things if you can’t supply them! Very disappointing!
Hi I was refused service today for essential goods, I am handicapped and today at your store in lively they told me to leave when I wanted to purchase heating pellets to heat my house, I couldn’t park at the handycap place because someone NON handicap was in that spot and they were served instead, we arrived at the same time, and they were buying stuff that was Not even close to being essential
