About Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC)
When there are large exhibitions and conferences in Atlanta, Georgia, the go-to destination is none other than the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC). Spread across 90 acres, the modern convention center first opened doors in the year 1976. Over the years there have been several renovations that was primarily to serve the expansion and add newer facilities. It is today part of a larger GWCCA campus that also encompasses the Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Georgia International Plaza. At the time of this writing, Georgia World Congress Center was the fourth largest convention center in America. It regularly hosts conventions, trade shows and film production that welcome millions of visitors each year.

Located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia World Congress Center features a 1.5 million sq ft exhibit space that has the distinction of being the “world’s largest LEED certified convention center”. It boasts of 12 exhibition halls, 98 meeting rooms, two board rooms, two ballrooms and three fixed-seat auditoriums. Add to that three outdoor plazas with dining spots. When there, you don’t want to miss the West Lawn Promenade, Fountain of Rings Plaza, amphitheater and Unity Plaza. The award-winning convention center even boasts a luxury full-service hotel (Signia Hilton). The 1000-room premier hotel is located right next to Building C in the convention center, making it perfect for both attendees and visitors.

The Georgia World Congress Center is easily accessible by metro, bus and cab. If taking the metro, the GWCC/CNN Center Station and Vine City Station is just few minutes walk from the venue. The light rail has a stop at the Centennial Olympic Park. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is the most convenient way of travelling by bus or rail. A single $2.50 fare covers one-way bus or train trips. If reaching the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), you will find a MARTA rail station at the north end of the airport. For those driving, you have more than 5,500 parking spaces within the complex. The on-campus parking for visitors and attendees can be reserved online through a credit card as well.
