About EE Limited
EE is one of the leading telecom networks in the UK. Formerly known as Everything Everywhere, this British mobile operator and Internet service provider is the largest network operator in the UK, with 27.5 million customers as of 2020. The company was incepted after a joint venture between France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom in 2010. EE was later acquired by BT in 2016 and is currently operating as a part of its consumer division. BT has three consumer brands in the market, including EE, BT, and Plusnet. EE is headquartered in Hatfield and has other offices located in Droxford, Bristol, Darlington, North Tyneside, Leeds, Plymouth, and Greenock. The company has been awarded as the most reliable network by RootMetrics. EE has 99% 4G population coverage and has covered more rural areas as compared to other networks. One of the major rebranding programs for the company took place in 2012. This is when Everything Everywhere officially became EE. The company has since then rolled 4G and 5G for its customers.
EE was the first in the UK to introduce contactless mobile payments in collaboration with Barclaycard. The company went on to partner a deal with MasterCard to introduce Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in the UK. The HD voice calling feature was rolled out in 2020. EE also became the first to introduce smart number technology that allowed the customers to use the same number on multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches. The company also provides broadband services and has 900,000 customers in the broadband segment. EE launched its TV service for broadband customers in 2014. Customers have to use EE set-top box, which offers Freeview channels, along with PVR features and other catch-up TV services. EE maintains a user-friendly website that is intuitive and engaging. If you are an existing EE customer, you can manage a number of services online with a few clicks. You can register for an account using your phone number, email address, and address. Your EE account will give you access to your connection, mobile, and broadband and help you manage bills, make payments and change tariffs.
You can shop from EE too. The website has an ecommerce channel that lists SIM cards, phones, tablets, laptops, watches, and accessories for sale. Customers can change or add to the existing plans right on the website. EE website also facilitates a loyalty program, and each successful referral will fetch £50, £25 for the sender of the referral link, and £25 for the receiver after the successful acceptance. The website further offers information on offers, services, roaming tariffs, broadband tariffs, TV, and more. If you are facing other issues, you can reach the customer service on dedicated helpline numbers.
After my talk with Miss Taylor, waiting for 50 minutes, she agreed to charge me extra 15 GB with my 15 GB so total of 30 GB in account. After our call, I had no internet and no outgoing unfortunately. I have lost connection with the world. I have been suffering whole night. So despite of adding 15 GB extra (as per deal for first 3 months) i had been deprived of internet.
I received a text telling me that my subscription was to expire in 45 days and that I should renew it. I think I have done that but it is impossible to verify when the renewal starts. Is it in 45 days time or now. What service is being provided. Is it different from the existing subscription. I then was asked for something called Add-ons I have no idea what these are. I have tried to call and spoke to one agent last night (November 3) but was cut off. I have tried to call this morning but have been cut off three times. All this is very confusing.
