Their service is so so poor with rude and arrogant staff members in Ghana and Johannesburg airport. They cancelled my flight without any notice and refused to give me any information. Their phone numbers do not work. When I finally got hold of someone after 47 minutes they were not helpful. In the end I had to buy new ticket, book a hotel for two days.
I had a return ticket i planned on using back to nigeria on the 22nd of december from s.a, asky literally refused to allocate a seat or even attend to my return ticket because they claimed its their peak period and no space for me (not like it was a new ticket or a free one).
I ended up spending the yuletide season in s.a because i am not crazy enough to pay 250k naira as penalty and administrative fee for a return ticket i have.
Fast forward to the 7th of january 2020 i decided to use the return ticket to go to nigeria on the 22nd of january and asky had the guts to ask me to pay 125k naira as penalty and administrative fee to be able to use my own return ticket.
The funny part of everything is it actually cost lesser (110k naira) for a new return ticket so why on earth would a fresh ticket cost more than penalty to use an open return ticket.
They refused to refund or explain why i have to pay so much to use a return ticket, all their customer care centres dont take up calls.
I have taken it upon myself to enlighten the public about this fraudulent airline if nothing is done, i have tried to reach them to give explanations but they dont even regard their customers at all.
I have been trying to change my flight ticket all to no avail. Tried getting in touch with the customer care.
Apparently, the airline has a poor customer service. All the nos have been trying are not reachable.
Is there a way they.can be contacted
First of all, I’d like to congratulate Asky for the good jobin connecting West Africa and the world.I have been using Asky for some time now and I also insistthat my company, or any NGO I consult for, uses Asky.I’d like to make a complaint against your ground staff inDakar, Senegal today September 22,2019. I have never felt embarrassed andhumiliated for no just reason.I boarded the flight KP011 from Dakar and take off time was8:05am. I went to the checked in counter where I met a guy, he is the ‘onlymale staff’ around 6am this morning. I gave him my passport, as requested, hewent through and I guess saw my name and he asked for my ticket. I told him Idon’t have a hard copy, that I have electronic ticket. He insisted I showed him,but I don’t have internet. Luckily for me I downloaded it on my laptop, so Ibrought out my laptop and showed him.He then asked for my visa,I told him I don’t need a visa togo to Sierra Leone as a Nigerian, he asked why, I explained that as a west AfricanI don’t need a Visa ,only West African Passport….. So, I left for the boardinggate, I followed every instruction and boarded the bus that would convey us tothe airplane. Then, I heard my name, so I answered and I was told todisembarked from the bus, I obeyed. But to my disbelief, my passport andboarding tickets was seized from me and no reason was given. People startedstaring at me as though I was a criminal and starting speaking in their locallanguage. At this stage, I was annoyed and confused.Later, after the embarrassment, a public show. One of thestaffs, a short and light (not too dark) in complexion man, asked me to follow him, without any explanation. I and a fellow Nigerian followed him sheepishly and hetook us to the cargo area. And then another staff asked me what is in mychecked in baggage. I didn’t even know how to respond to the question. I was like,in my mind, you scanned my baggage twice and you still want me to tell you whatis in my ‘checked in’ luggage. I then calmly told him that I am a mechanicalengineer and I consult for NGO’s; hence I travel a lot and with my engineeringtools. Then he asked me and my fellow Nigerian to go. The otherNigerian had a ‘shoe spray’ in his checked in luggage. As if the embarrassment wasn’t enough, he started paradingus round the airport, talking to all who is willing to hear in the airportabout me and some were even exchanging handshakes. The first staff I met at thechecked in counter also came and they were happy, discussing and laughing. Fromthese I knew they just picked me and a fellow Nigerian, wasted our time andAsky time just to humiliate and embarrass us for no just reason. I have neverfelt this humiliated. In conclusion, I believe, the two male ground staff justdeliberately want to humiliate me and the fellow Nigerian and I am not happywith this. I don’t want to know, if they have a complex or they require mentalevaluation, I believe we should not hurt others either physically oremotionally.I think I should sue for ‘emotional distress’, but I lookforward to your response and actions.
I boarded the flight on the 31st of August from South Africa to Nigeria I lost my bag that has all my belongings and my Cancer medicine been calling the airport and the airline since they been saying call tomorrow till today …to cut the Kong’s story short today is the 18th of August in a foreign country without my luggage
I traveled from Freetown to Niamei, my suitcase was booked to be received in Lomé, when I got there the ASKY staff told me that my connecting flight to Cotonou was already boarding so I should hurry and that they would ensure my luggage meets me in Niamei, my final destination. I got to Niamei but couldn’t get my bag, I filed a report and the guys told me to call today for my luggage, I’m now calling but their number is switched off, and I’m here for a meeting with the African Union and Association of African Central Bank, which starts tomorrow. You cannot be treating people this way, all I see are negative comments particularly with respect to luggage loss, why can’t you try to resolve this issue. And by international flying laws you’re to provide people with money to buy the basic things that they need, since you’ve decided to lose their luggages
I have boarded one of your flight to Nigeria flight no 061 on the 20th June 19 at 3am. My seat was 20F and luggage at 20F. My wedding ring was lost kindly assist for its location .
Got to the Airport to check-in from Accra tru Freetown to Banjul, to my surprise I got here at 12:30pm only to be told flight is full. My first time in ASKY and am really disappointed.
My luggage went missing when \i joined the ASKY plane in Accra to travel to Freetown in 2013. I filled all the required forms for reclaim since the my two pieces of luggage were not recovered.
I exchanged several mails with the ASKY team in Freetown – Sierra Leone especially the country manager ….Mr. Edgard Dovi Lacle and he in fact gave me his complementary card.
I had met several staff of ASKY in the Freetown office but this issue had not been addressed at all.
I will appreciate if the senior management could look into this as soon as possible as I had exercised patience for many years. I can share the emails that we had exchanged with the team in Freetown with senior management team in the ASKY HQ.
Thanks
It is with deep dissatisfaction and pain that I am writing this. I left Newark , New jersey on 12th Dec and arrived on 13th Dec to Abidjan to transit from there to Lagos Nigeria. On arrival I couldn’t retrieve my bus up until now. my wedding is coming up in 2 two days, what I need for my wedding is in those suitcase. I have being going to your baggage store expectant to no avail. Paying for hotel bills since 3 days , transportation to the airport. The inconveniences. I mean the treatment and service is inhuman honestly and be rest assured I will sue for this if my luggage doesn’t arrive intact.
Now I am going through same thing. Firstly, my flight to Atlanta was cancelled on the 9th of October, without informing passengers, and people were stranded before Asky unethically and unprofessionally contacted Ethiopian airlines to carry us, and the trip was one of the longest.
NOW,returning is another issue. I checked in two baggage from Atlanta. I was following up on my baggage from airlines representatives at their boarding front desks, since it’s all about connecting flights by the so-called Star Alliance members (Atlanta – United Airlines, New Wark – Ethiopian Airlines, Lome – Asky Airlines)I got to Abuja, got one luggage, while the other was no where. Yet they were tagged sequentially. And these luggage were confirmed at Lome, with baggage tags. Why does Asky keep people’s bags for the Asky and airport staff to tamper valuables. I can imagine people writing all these negative comments, instead of commendation and appreciation. Asky is unprofessional, from my experiences. The Nigerian Airport Authority, Ministry of Avation, People ihcharge of baggage, National Human Rights Commission, Consumer Protection Agency, and the Nigerian Government must intervene to save its citizens from a foreign company that robs people of their valuables and cause panic, trauma and breakdown through their negligence and conspiracy. If Asky is a member of Star Alliance, it should prove it’s capacity. You do not release one bag and fraudulently keep another without the consent of the owner. Negative reports are dent to Asky’s integrity and image. With my evidence of tags, Asky must release my baggage, and intact. Country verses Country issues will affect diplomatic relationship, and maltreating another country’s citizens is a maltreatment to that country. And this is a case of Asky Airlines undermining the Nigerian passengers. Nigerian Government should act now! People like us will follow this case up…
I bought a ticket from Freetown to Nairobi and went to the airport. A staff member refused to come aboard and told me to buy a return ticket. I could not buy a return ticket because I was driving from Kenya to another country. They do not want to give me money back or issue a second ticket.
Good day

I am trying to call Nigeria Asky customers service number but it was not available. I wanted to report my missing hand luggage they took from me on Thursday, January 18 when boarding to Lome.
Good to know that you fly BJL TO FNA. Can you please inform me the return cost for ticket Banjul/Freetown returned . Dates DEC 9th out from Banjul returned Jan12th.
I travelled yesterday, Monday 18th September onboard Asky as per the details below:
– Douala – Lome :KP0035
– Lome – Accra : KP0020
My bag was checked in at the Douala International Airport to be collected in Accra but it never arrived. I made a claim yesterday (see attached) but was advised today that the bag still did not arrive. I am putting on the same dress since yesterday and today will be the 3rd day I am putting on same dress and this is very uncomfortable and frustrating. I will appreciate if you can help me find my bag that contains all my dresses and shoes.
I am sending you this message to register my dissatisfaction on the ugly treatment received in the hands of Asky air lines on the 25th of august 2017.
I took an Ethiopian airlines flight 509 from Newark New Jersey to Lome Togo with three of my luggages checked in from New Jersey . And transferred to Asky airlines from Togo to Lagos. But to my utter dismay, non of my luggages came along the air plane from Togo to Lagos Nigeria. On August 26th,I reported to the air port with the hope my luggages will be ready for pick up. But to my surprise only one of the luggages was present at NAACO’s office for pick up.What a disappointment? On August 27th,i made it back to the airport only to be told that no luggages came for me from Lome,Togo.
I kept going back and forth to the airport but all to no avail.
On the 28th of August one of my luggages came in and i was told to come back to the air port after 6pm on August 29th which I did but still my remaining luggage did not arrive. At this point,i am tired of going back and forth to the air port.
My plan now is to show up at Asky’s office at the airport on Wednesday morning whereby somebody must attend to me and solve this problem as am very tired and frustrated now that I have not taken my medications since August 25th.
I paid for this flight and I don’t deserve to be treated with levity this way.
I wish I had read this before travelling with ASKY from Lagos to Douala, enroute Lome on Sunday April 22. I also arrived Douala and could not find my luggage. Painful thing is I am not even getting any update. I have been shuttling between the Airport and the meetings I am here to attend in Douala, putting me under undue strain and pressure. This is not showing good customer service at all. Pretty unfortunate!
