About airBaltic
airBaltic is a an award-winning airline that connects the Baltic region with a fleet of more than 35 aircraft. The national airline of the Republic of Latvia began operations in the year 1995. With its hubs at Riga International Airport, Tallinn Airport, Vilnius Airport and Tampere Airport, the airline connects to more than 80 destinations. Owned by the Government of Latvia, airBaltic has codeshare agreements with a dozen of airlines including Air France, British Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Iberia, Lufthansa, TAP Portugal, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Fliers can search and book flights directly on the website. Some of the top destinations where airBaltic connects include Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Dubai, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, Manchester, Munich, Madrid, Milan, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Prague, London, Rome, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tel Aviv, Venice, Vienna and Zurich. The route map on the website shows more clearly where the airline connects in the Baltic region, Europe, Asia and Middle East.

Booking of tickets on airBaltic can be done online through major credit cards, PayPal or bank transfer. The cost and benefits vary according to ticket type such as Business, Green, Green Plus and Classic. If you have an existing booking, you can now choose your seat or pre-oder onboard meal. Additionally, you can cancel or make changes to your ticket on the web. With your booking reference number and surname, you can view flight details, choose seats or add baggage online. As for check-in, you can do same at the airport or online with access to the Internet and a printer. Online check-in is available five days before departure. For some fare types, the check-in only opens 36 hours before scheduled departure.

Before your travel, it is good to be informed on the baggage restrictions and the number of checked bag and cabin bag you can carry. Classic and Green Plus fare fliers can carry one checked baggage with max weight of 23 kg free of charge. Business fliers can carry up to 2 bags with 46kg weight. Additional bags can be booked for extra costs. As for cabin baggage, you are allowed to carry one cabin bag with weight of 8kg. Business class passengers are allowed to carry 2 cabin bags with them. If you are unable to find your baggage, you are advised to fill a report at the airline’s Lost & Found desk at airport. Most missing bags are traced and returned within 3 days. If your bag is not located within 21 days, you are entitled to file a claim for compensation.

If you regularly fly with the airline, register for the airBaltic Club, a frequent flier program that rewards fliers. You can earn and redeem points every time you fly with airBaltic or partner airlines. If you reach the VIP status, you can then enjoy additional benefits like priority check-in, upgrade to Business Class and much more.
