About Telkomsel
Telkomsel was founded in the year 1995. It is a leading telecommunications company in Indonesia, having a network covering over 95% of the country. As of 2010, Telkomsel had close to 89 million customers. The cellular service provider is also the leader in the broadband market. In 2009, the company had revenue of 81.64 million. A subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia, the company provides its cellular services through through GSM Dual Band (900 & 1800), GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA and HSPA+ networks.
Telkomsel offers KartuHALO for postpaid connections. Postpaid Users have options such to choose like HALO Fit, HALO Hybrid and HALO Data. These products offer different tariff plans and features. For prepaid connections, Telkomsel has simPATI and Kartu As.
Value added services for prepaid and postpaid connections include SMS, MMS, multi-party call, call forwarding, call waiting, social networking and more. Telkomsel users can also get access to mobile banking.
For high speed wireless broadband, there is Telkomsel Flash that provides speed up to 7.2 Mbps and works on HSDPA/3G/EDGE/GPRS.
Customer Services, Point of Sales, Application, Website, Documentations: So much not English friendly… For the non Indonesians, I recommend you go through English speaking Indonesian friends to help you. Everything very very complicated with Telkomsel and time consuming…. Money for value is not there at all!
Dear Telekom Customer Care,
Please provide an English lanaguage version of the Telekom app. Not all your of your 95 million customers can read Bahasa. It would also be helpful to receive your sms messages in English too.

After using the 700MB included with my Broadband package, I recharged to get another 125MB. Trying to activate it on the web site brought up an error. The “we will process your request within 24 hours” ticket is still open and untouched after 3 days. :(( And calling them only brought the “result” that I should send a text to a service number, which doesn’t make so much sense, as the iPad doesn’t support SMS. :((
Omg, how do they still have customers?? And how difficult can it be to check their log files and either fix my account or directly activate my new package. This shouldn’t be more then 2 pr 3 mouse clicks!?!?
I have just been told by the man running the Telkomsel store in Tembagapura that the reason I no longer have international roaming on my Telstra phone is that Telkomsel have stoped this in Tembagapura WTF
I have an issue where telkomsel seem to hold my email address yet I live in australia. The email has been mine since i raised it with google mail and have been using it with my blackberry. Now I have bought a new bold blackberry it cant be registered because Telkomsel have my email registered with them. I would appreciate your disconnecting my email please so I can use it thanks.

First of all, welcome to the worst network for both customer service, and performance in the world!!
Try talking to them, even using a translator gets you no where, we had the “family” broadband package installed, what a laugh! despite telling the engineer that his router had a range of only five feet!!! he was told 10 times that something isnt right, the reply was “well it is the family package!!!
Maybe if we dont pay them, we might get a response!
Meanwhile after 2 bad experiences with Telkomsel, and 2 SIM cards, and now Telkom landline ADSL broadband (386K rated, 70K max) Ive moved to XL mobile, a better deal, cheaper, higher speeds and a real person at the other end!
STEER CLEAR!!!!!! or be bitten
