Worst customer service. I placed an order on 31 December, the transaction was completed successfully and my money got debited from the account but I didn’t get any order confirmation. I tried to contact zomato customer care multiple times and there was no response from their end till now.

I am really disappointed with Zomato. I purchased Zomato Gold membership for 1 year as a trial through my laptop. The next day I was just exploring more on the Zomato App on my phone. I couldn’t see any offers from Gold on my mobile app so went on searching. I clicked on the tab Gold membership you wont believe Zomato renewed my membership taken the day before and charged me AED 200/- without asking any questions. PLEASE DON’T FEED YOUR CC DETAILS IN ZOMATO. You wont get any phone number to talk to them directly. Even if you get one they wont be incharge for solving your problem. This is my experience with ZOMATO.

I had placed an order at Shree Wraps & More with order no. 1462983827 at 12:25 PM today.
The food was ready and also “On the way” and I was waiting for it to arrive. I was tracking the movement of the delivery person which was last seen at a traffic signal.
Within 5 minutes the order was cancelled. I immediately contacted your helpdesk who told that order has been cancelled as I could not be contacted to collect the order.
I have been ordering from Zomato from quite a long time and have never faced any issues with any order. Not sure if the delivery persons have discovered this procedure to have a free meal at our cost.
The help desk associate of yours was also of no use and also did not check the location at which the order was cancelled. Very bad customer service from the person.
Please check the details and let me know as to why the order was cancelled within 5 mins and also the delivery was to be done at my office and could have been done at the
reception or order status could have been changed to Delivered after which I could have contacted the delivery person. But the intention of cancellation looks to be mischievous
and the person was not at all interested in delivering the food.
Very bad food and bad service by zomato.
Today i ordered the food via zomato, from kwality restaurant pune, the delivery boy was very rude, he called me up and said that my address did not exist, when i tried to tell him the directions, he hung up on me. He came late, with the food cold. He told me he had picked up the food from the restaurant at 2 pm. but reached my place at 2.45 pm. Also, when he gave me the bill, zomato had not given me the discounts mentioned on their website. I asked the delivery boy and he said i need to check with zomato.
i told him i will not accept the food, as it is cold. he told me he is poor etc. so i took the food. i gave him 1000 rupees, he said he has no change, so i gave him 500 rupees and then went to look for 283 more. but could not find an extra rupee so paid him 282 more. the total bill was 783.
i took the food in, when i opened it, the nan was burnt and inedible. the palak paneer was bad, and worst was the chicken supposedly the signature chicken makhanwala of the restaurant with hard pieces in a dish which is ideally soft chicken pieces in sauce a complete dissapointment
the delivery boy came back after 10 minutes and told me, he only had 483, and that i did not pay him the complete money. i told him, i counted and gave him, and i dont like such games. he said he has no money this is the only money he has. i told him, if that was so, then he should have 282 if i did not give him 500 rupees, moreover, he did not give me a bill, he looked at his phone and counted the money in front of me. I told him in specific terms, i want the order cancelled. however, he did not return the money. customer svc guy called me from zomato. he told me the order will be cancelled, and that i should complain to the restaurant about the bad quality of food, which i did to the manager Daniel, who told me he will send me replacement food. Then he called me back and said that the delivery boy from zomato had arrived and he was going to give the fresh food to him at 3.10 pm. its been more than 2 hrs since then, the food has not been brought. I suspect the delivery boy took the food and ran. He took money from me, tried the stunt of taking extra money out of me, and did not give me the food either.
I had a very bad experience from Zomato. i made order by mistake and cancel the order within 2min still they are giving me the penalty charge of the food . The customer service executive says he cannot do anything for that because the restaurant guys were not responding to his call. I will never ever use zomato again in future.

I didn’t received my order and when I asked if they could give me my credit back, They blame it on me. Accusing me that my number was not reachable. I did tracked the delivery and I’m sure that he didn’t called me. After a while I took his number from the Customer Care and when I called him he kept diverting my calls. They keep wasting my time and know even ignoring my messages. They say I wont receive my order or the credit.

My friends came to meet me from Rajasthan in Chandigarh, I decided to order food from Zomato.
I ordered three Veg Thalis from a restaurant named Jalandhar Sweets, But unfortunately, I received thalis after a long wait of 1 hours and without Chapaties as well. That was a really disappointing first-time order experience. I made a call to Customer care, he was saying that he would refund only for missing Chapatis… disgusting, By the way, thanks for your kindness Zomato. I decided never to order from Zomato again.

This is regard to the order number 1282480932 dated on 15.07.2018. I placed an order from Smally’s Resto Cafe Bangalore around 8pm. The money was paid via card and the order was confirmed and was said to be delivered around 8.30pm. When the time was 10.30pm and the food was not delivered I started contacting the helpline number and made a conversation with the helpline person. They kept saying that the order will be delivered till 11.30pm. When we contacted the restaurant they said they waited for the delivery person for 2hours and then zomato cancelled the order. The customer care person kept harassing and gave wrong information (even the delivery persons number) throughout. We didn’t get any food. When shall I get my money back?

I ordered food from your website , after completing the payment i got message from my bank that the said amount has been deducted but on your website i got a message that the transaction has failed. My money has been deducted from my account but your app says that there is no transaction . I want my payment to be refund. I am regular reviewer of the restaurants on Zomato. I would like to request a technical assistance for reviewers like me. As the no. of restaurants we review grows, we lose track of the restaurants we have reviewed. Would request a search of restaurant name within the profile of the reviewer where we can put in the search for the restaurant and see whether we have reviewed the place or not.\

I had a very bad experience from Zomato on 27th May. Very pathetic service , ordered Veg food for Rs.815 and I got non veg food for Rs.200. The customer service executive says he cannot do anything for that because the restaurant guys were not responding to his call. This is not the first time happening , same day I had uninstalled their app. I will never ever use zomato again in future.

For the first time I decided to use Zomato and it said about 30% off on your first order but unfortunately when I made the payment by applying the promo code on my first order I didn’t got the applicable discount and more ever it showed payment getway failure but money from my account were deducted.

I have complain against zomato. What is the use of this app and this company when the customer is not getting the food on time.
Zomato is not following up during the process of delivery so that order reaches on time. They follow up after the whole 1 hour is completed which is the time of delivery in my case.
In this time I can go to a restaurant and the meal is offered in max 20 mins

I am a regular customer who has paucity of time to cook, since I am an advocate and thus, 19/20 of my meals I need to order (mostly Swiggy or FreshMenu as it is reliable and reasonable, unlike you).
I was suggested of Zomato Orders and thus, I ordered via Zomato order on 8th April, 2018 at 4:32 PM from Dadi’s Dum Biryani and the amount was somewhere around Rs. 1500/-.
When the food came out the curry dishes were not closed which fell as soon as we took it out. Further, we also ordered dahi kebabas, in which the curd was stale and because of which one my client got food poisoning.
When I raised this issue, I was told that nothing can be done!
Now consider this as a legal notice as I will be going under Section 2(r) [Unfair Trade Practices] of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
Either, revert back the amount for the same or I shall be demanding a compensation for about 25,00,000/- and sanction.
Thankfully I have the reports of my client and further the food laws in India have the provision that the ‘Supplier’, here being Zomato, shall be not allowed to further carry their business for a term of 1 year.
I shall proceed in next 24 hours if the payment is not refunded. Further, I have clients who have been harassed (abused and threatened) by Zomato delivery boys. Caveat Venditor, isn’t just a phrase, but a practice too in India

I have ordered for dinner from Sitara Restaurant yesterday (5/4/18) at electronic city phase 1 Bangalore. I made the full payment through netbanking which of of around Rs. 247.00. However when I received the food one item was missing (mango milk shake) and the zomato delivery boy told he cannot help and asked me to contact the restaurant as it is not his responsibility.
I called up the restaurant and they told me it was the fault of zomato delivery boy as they had prepared both the items but the boy took only one. They told me to contact zomato and ask for refund as it is not his responsibility. I tried calling several numbers of zomato helpline numbers that are available on internet but none of them worked.
My money is gone, I did not receive food for dinner and no help from zomato or the restaurant. I want the refund of my money and want to know the real reason of this harassment that I had to face yesterday night after making the full payment for the ordered food.

Yesterday I ordered dinner for my guest, I did not receive any call or update that the order was canceled. In the website also it showed that the order will be delivered. We waited till 11pm, and finally called at customer care to find out that the food was cancelled! My guest just arrived from USA, and we were so embarrassed in front of her. Why on Earth will it not be updated in Zomato website even though the order is canceled? I am attaching the screenshot of this horrible experience, though I know you will do nothing!
The previous day also, we tried to place an order from Taratala Arsalan, but Zomato says ‘The restaurant does not deliver in this location’, which is wrong information! Arsalan New Alipore does deliver at Silpara Purba Barisha, and they actually delivered the food in my home! I just placed the order by calling the restaurant instead of Zomato! Really disappointing and embarrassing! I used to trust Zomato before making a move! Now it seems, that their services have changed!

I believe that your service is highly unacceptable.
I ordered through Zomato on Thursday 10 November to a restaurant called Marakesh. I first accepted the order, even though the delivery time was stated at 45 min. As soon as I paid AED 516.00 via my credit card (cash was not accepted); the delivery time was stated as 90 min.
In the first instance, this large difference in time for the delivery was not acceptable, however after waiting 30 minutes. After my money had been taken out of my credit card, I received a message from a third party (the delivery company) to advise the delivery could not be made.
It has now been 7 days and I have not received my refund of AED 516.00.This is completely unacceptable and dishonest. If I do not receive compensation for this high inconvenience and stress, I will advertise on social media outlining how zomato can not be trusted as a service to use.

I like using zomato app, I would like to request you to please regular update the rating of the restaurant. So we can easily choose the best restaurants. I all be very thankful to you.
