I ordered a book from them which never arrived. This company has made me so frustrated, I as when you contact them there is a standard message to say that they will get back to you within 48 hours. They keep saying that my order has arrived. Well IT NEVER ARRIVED TO ME.
I placed an order with the company last week for four books. I’ve received 3 of these as usual without bother but I haven’t gotten the third (life in the west of Ireland). The order number was WGB-2302-17887964.
Hi Michael, I’m wondering if you have resolved your issue with WOB? I’ve been trying to contact them but they don’t respond! I’ve used them without a problem for some time now but they have just really let me down recently! I bought a book for £25. I was waiting an age for the book to arrive and after enquiring about its location through the tracking system was informed that the book had been damaged in storage! But they have kept my money !!!
I wish I had seen these comments before I ordered. Purchased on the 28/11/22. One of the books came within a week but the rest never arrived, several attempts to contact them never worked. I failed every time, also sent a message through the contact page and no response, bought the book on the high street at “The Works” in the end. I’ve also requested a refund through the contact page and no response.
I have been ordering books from WOB for ages and have never had a complaint. Always happy with my order. But, today , when making my order I used the wrong address, now I cant get hold of anyone to have my order sent to the right address.
Bought a book for my husbands birthday. Supposed to be as new. When it arrived it had yellow discoloured pages and a rip on the front cover. Very disappointed.
Truly a bait and switch scheme. I ordered a 1st edition hard cover and received a paperback. I complained to e-bay and was assured that I would receive a refund after returning the book. I paid for return shipping and was later informed that I would not be receiving a refund. After numerous e-mails to e-bay, I still have not been returned the book. What a horrible way to treat a customer and to run a business.
I note all the comments and wished I had not used this company.. I ordered a book on 24th November. Three weeks later and it has not arrived and I can not get an answer from them as to what they intend to do. Needless to say it was a Christmas present for my granddaughter and I need to post it on! Not good enough!
Ordered 2 books for my daughter. 1 sold to me for double the price the book was marked at. Both small books when I was expecting full size paperback. Customer service had the cheek to lie and tell me the books I received are the only format the books come in. Returned for a full refund, book then sent back to me again. Appalling customer service all round.
I ordered a book that arrived in a timely manner but was damaged. I made three attempts at contacting World of Books but never received a response. I want my money back!
I am dissapointed that the item I ordered has still not arrived, 10 days into order.I have now resorted to phoning customer service only to find this is an an answering machine. I await a satisfactory outcome.
I ordered a CD at the end of last month, and as I still haven’t received my CD, I have emailed quite a few times and haven’t gotten any sort of response. Instructions on the website state that after 10 business delivery days if the package still hasn’t arrived then to contact the company…but they refuse to respond. And now Ive been waiting 21 days. Got super excited to find this website, but super bummed on how they work. Horrid customer service. Had no problem taking my money, but has every bit of problem with customer service. Now Im out money and a CD.
Extremely disappointed in the service or should i say lack of it following my recent complaint. I explained that when i ordered six items through e-bay the system picked up an old address. I quickly i.e within5 minutes contacted all the sellers via email and also e-bay who assured me all had been corrected
The first 4 items duly arrived at the correct address and I might add ahead of schedule!
The only company that failed to correct and honour the order was yours. When I complained to e-bay and opened a complaint, I was assured the issue would be resolved or my money refunded. The response I had back from your account manager Kayleigh was dismossive, uncaring and quite literally rude. I tried to call Kayleigh over 30 times on your customer service number all to no avail.
I am a Key Account Manager myself and if I had acted the way world of books has acted I would have very few customers left and certainly no repeat business! Which where I am heading. I will never use world of books again and certainly advise all my friends not to use your company as you are only interested in.the money, which incidentally has never been refunded!
In conclusion I think you understand I am thoroughly disappointed as the items were supposed to be birthday presents. Perhaps world of books should consider an adjust to their trading name . I think “WORLD OF PAIN”

I ordered a footloose double movie collection of footloose and the new footloose i recieved them in the mail today i opened them to watch them and neither play they say they cant be previewed I want this fixed im very disappointed this was a christmas gift and they might as well be drink coasters. Plrase sent replacement tjat i can watch in the United States or refund mony and send a stamped envelope i will return your unwatchable drink coasters.

I ordered and received Tao Te Ching in book form this week. The colours in this reprint were extremely poor. I would like this copy to be replaced.
I ordered 2 sudoku for kids books. They were stated to be in very good condition. One had pencilled in answers that I can erase but the other book is covered in biro and is only fit for the bin.I would like a replacement or refund for the second book. If you send a pre-paid label I will return it to you.
