About Wells Fargo Center
Wells Fargo Center is a multipurpose arena located in Philadelphia that first opened in 1996. Originally called Spectrum II, the venue is a premier sports and entertainment destination, visited by millions each year. Situated at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, which also includes Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park and Xfinity Live!, Wells Fargo Center is home to NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers and NLL’s Philadelphia Wings. Besides basketball and ice hockey, the venue is famous for the concerts and shows held year round. For basketball games, Wells Fargo Center can seat up to 20,500 guests. The naming rights in the past saw the venue called by names CoreStates Center, First Union Center and then as Wachovia Center. The arena boasts of state of the art facilities and also offers premium seating for enhancing game or event experience.
Guests can reach the venue through cab, bus as well as subway. The NRG Station (formerly AT&T station) served by SEPTA’s Broad Street Line is the closest subway station. Those with their own automobile can park at any of the nearest parking lots. You will find them at 11th Street, Pattison Avenue and Broad Street. To shop for merchandise after an event, head to the New Era Team Store. The retail store is located on the southeast side of the Main Concourse level.
