I am extremely upset with your upper management pushing the self checkout. No one wants a self checkout unless they have only a few things! I went in last week on a SUNDAY afternoon and there was not even one register open, but there were four people standing at the customer service window.
After shopping at Wegmanโs in Bethlehem Pa for years, when Weisโs opened a new store on schoenersville road in Bethlehem I started shopping there. But most of your check outs are self service with only two or three registers. If this does not change I will go back to Wegmanโs where they have more cashiers than self service.
Hi! My name is Amy and my Father had an incident of chest pain while he was in the Shamokin PA Weis parking lot. A gentleman went into the store and had my Mother paged to come to the parking lot because my Father is handicapped and can not walk very far. My Father’s cell phone was not working. Between the people in the parking lot who helped him with his breathing and calling 911 and the Assistant Manager my Father was taken care of incredibly. My sister and I can not express enough THANKS to all of the people who helped him from calling an ambulance, having our Mom paged to the car and taking care of him until the ambulance arrived. There are Good People Who Care in this world and the need to be Thanked!!
I have been a customer of Weis #123 for more than 25 years. Since the last reorganization of the store in 2018, customer service has declined. The new layout of products is not customer-friendly. There are not enough cashiers working every Saturday. While waiting too long to check out, I have heard many customers complain that they do not like the store layout and the long lines, and that they are starting to shop at other grocery stores nearby. Plus, I tried to take the customer survey twice, but the system did not recognize my Gold Preferred Customer number, adding insult to injury. If things don’t improve soon, I will also be checking out your competition.
