About Wanelo
Wanelo is a social shopping app founded by Deena Varshavskaya in 2012. The ecommerce platform, used by millions around the world, connects buyers with retailers, boutiques and independent sellers. Buyers can shop from a large collection of popular brands. You can create wishlists to buy later or create alerts to be informed when price drops. For stores using the platform, you can save products daily with useful descriptions, create collections and submit product data feed to get more visibility. Popular retailers currently featured on the platform include Asos, Sephora, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, TopShop, J.Crew, Lulemon, Free People, Nordstrom, and ASOS. There are currently more than 20 million products and 350,000 stores on the platform. The company’s operations are managed from its office at San Francisco, California.
To explore products, you can sign in with Facebook or email. Once you have created an account, you can start saving products you like. As you save products, Wanelo learns about your style and recommends those that would be to your liking. The frontpage of the app showcases the latest and trending. As you click on an item, you can see the description, along with highlights. The price mentioned also shows the actual retail price along with the discount. Products you will find listed include apparel, fashion accessories, footwear and general merchandise. Note that when you order an item, the shipping is fully undertaken by the seller. Your order will be cancelled if the item is being sold out or incorrect billing/ shipping information was provided.
Purchases on Wanelo is currently available only for buyers from across the US. Products can be ordered using Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express cards. Wanelo gift cards also can be used during checkout. After successful payment you will receive details of delivery and tracking on your email. You can also sign in to your account to track recent orders. Currently, Wanelo only offers standard shipping. Most orders ship within 5-7 working days. The delivery timeframe however varies store to store. If you received a damaged or defective item, you are advised to report within 3 days for cancellation and refund. For other reasons, please note the return policy of the specific store. The store’s return policy is clearly mentioned on the frontpage as well as product page. Refunds are issued in the original form of payment or in the form of Wanelo credit. If you are a store owner or manufacturer, you can register on the platform and reach out to a large audience of genuine buyers. I placed an order back in September 2022. I tracked it every few days and when I realized it didnโt move from a specific location in over a week I called and verified and now when I tried to call and leave a voicemail I get no response, I leave multiple emails and I get no response. This is the second time now I havenโt got shoes I have ordered this time. Unfortunately I still donโt have the money or the shoes.
Placed an order in Nov of 2022, and I have not received It. Multiple emails with responses they are working on it and calls to leave a message on voicemail – no one responded. It’s 6 months now the issue has not been resolved. Order #40331957
I placed an order on 3 January and as I have not received anything I have tried to progress with your customer support and have not had any response apart from asking for order numbers. I have sent these and still not had any reply. The order numbers are : #10000766 and #10000766.
