About Tuffnells
Tuffnells is a British large parcel delivery company boasting a history of over 100 years. Founded by Harold J Tuffnell in 1914, Tuffnells has a fleet of 600 vehicles delivering more than 15 million packages each year. The company employs more than 1,700 and operates from its headquarters at Kembrey Park, Swindon. In 2014, Tuffnells was acquired by Connect Group PLC. The business to business distributor serves both small and large business enterprises across UK. Tuffnells services include both domestic and international delivery.
Booking of parcels can be done at any of the nearest Tuffnells depot. There are about 38 depots across the country. Locate one nearest to your address by entering your postcode on the website. The depot network includes Aberdeen, Andover, Basingstoke, Belvedere, Brierley Hill, Bristol, Conventry, Crawley, Darwen, Felling, Lanark, Leeds, Lockerbie, Manchester, Newark, Newport, North London, Northampton, Norwich, Oxford, Perth, Plymouth, Sheffield, Slough, Stafford and Westbury.
The company claims to regularly handle large and heavy parcels of over 4,000 businesses. If looking for next day delivery of your parcel, Tuffnells assures you the speed and promptness, no matter what the size and weight. You can opt for delivery before 09:30am, 10;30am and 12:00 noon. Need a low-cost delivery service? Then the Economy Service is best suited for you. Expect the delivery to be made within 3 days. The Offshore Delivery is for sending consignments across Ireland and neighboring locations.
For consignments that are less than 5 kg, be it documents or small parcels, there is a specialised delivery service called Databag. Your goods are packed into a Data Bag and sealed for security. Want to pick up an item from a location and dropped to your address? The Fastbak offers just that. Need to deliver an item overseas? Tuffnells offers international delivery service through its network of logistics and partners. Consignments can be booked for over 160 countries.
Tuffnells offers fully insured deliveries with coverage for goods in transit against loss, damage or theft. The insurance is designed to provide protection and compensation. Have a claim to make? You can download the Claims form or speak to support via email or phone. You are advised to communicate with your depot on the potential loss or damage. The claim form must be submitted within 42 days from booking.
Booking of new consignments can be done through Ezeelink software. You can easily arrange deliveries, collections and even create labels. Existing customers can track and trace the delivery through the consignment number or unique reference number. Through the tracking you can be informed on when to expect delivery or collect consignment from local depot. According to the website, undelivered parcels are taken back to the local depot and stored in a safe place.
Customers can also register on the MyTuffnells website to view recent orders, status of current deliveries, view proof of deliveries, see historic order details or raise a complaint. For complaints or queries on depot locations, cancellation, refund, career, or others, reach the Tuffnells support.
Absolute shambles!! Waiting for a delivery from Amazon via Tuffnell . Tuffnell sent me a message yesterday to say my item had been “put on hold” I tried contacting them but there’s no phone number, so I sent an email but nothing from them so.far !!! I live quite near there Rhyl depot so I could collect my item. Again, no address or contact number!!!
They say they attempted delivery yesterday but I was home all day and no one came.. Marks of ten, zero!!
Absolute joke. Had a text this morning to say my item would be delivered today. Checked the tracking link and it said it was out for delivery. Checked the link 2 hours later and it had changed back to arrived at the delivery depot. Contacted seller who spoke to Tuffnells and turns out the item was scanned for delivery but wasn’t put on the lorry. No contact off Tuffnells at all so been sat at home all day after swapping my day off for absolutely nothing. Terrible company and customer service
How can you run a company that doesn’t allow you to contact customer services? I thought that Yodel and Hermes were bad, but you take the prize for being the worst of all,
Customer service is a joke. I have never found a company where I can’t get an answer, their in house messaging service and emails are never answered. I will never deal with this company again. Get a grip it’s a competitive market and you are letting customers down.
I paid for a priority delivery on 1.12.21 – it is now 13h50 and the van shows that it still has 47 deliveries to do first. We have a team standing by to do an installation since 12h00 – service is shocking. No assistance – holding on for hours to speak to someone
Still waiting for a delivery 6pm. Says delivery was attempted yesterday, it wasn’t as I was in waiting all day. Tracking says due for delivery today, no contact tuffnells couldn’t be less interested just refer problems with their delivery to the sender.
Useless. No phone number. No customer service. No item. Cannot get hold of them. On phone for over 20 mins then finally got someone who was about as much use as a water proof teabag.
This is the 2nd time I’ve had the misfortune to have something delivered by this company (Tufnell) according to the seller they’ve had it in the warehouse since thu 1st April now it’s the 7th an still no communication the website gives a number that when dialled says incorrect been waiting on another number for over 20 minutes unbelievable how they continue to run a company totally useless

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how amazing your delivery driver, Leon, is. He has delivered parcels to my house twice now and is a credit to your company. He calls a day or two ahead to confirm he will be delivering on a certain date (good management of expectations) and is friendly, professional and a pleasure to speak with.
I am sure you have lots of excellent staff wanted to highlight Leon as a perfect example of a great ambassador for your firm.

If only this was true about your excellent service – I sent three deliveries last week only one arrived correctly and two of my orders are lost in the lack hole of your depots where nobody seems to know where they are and I now have to explain to my customer that the order I have tried to send him twice in two weeks is now lost again by my courier!! But apparently lots of staff are looking for it and then I’m invoiced twice for the delivery of said missing parcel when it is lost once again and this is only the latest in a string of lost parcel – your service is not fit for purpose – FT Medcalf (2000) Ltd
