About Thai Lion Air
The Indonesian airline Lion Air has carved a niche for itself in the low-cost aviation space. Besides Indonesia, the other country where it has grown significantly is Thailand, through the subsidiary Thai Lion Air. The airline began operations there in the year 2013 and has its main operating base at Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok. With a fleet of about 13 aircraft, it flies to more than 50 destinations. The low-cost Thai airline is now in an expansion mode with plans of domestic and international flights from other cities in Thailand.

The official website has a route map that shows the destinations the airline connects to. As of the current day, the network includes flights to and from Bangkok, Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Hat Yai, Krabi, Phuket, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Pattaya, Nan, Jakarta, Mumbai, Singapore and Taipei. Fliers can check the schedule along with other details online. You can in fact book your flight conveniently on the website by inputting the origin/destination along with dates. Look for ongoing offers and promotions before confirming your flight. Sign up for a newsletter on the website to receive current offers and details on new destinations.

Existing ticket holders can view their e-ticket itinerary or make changes to their booking online, without having to call the airline’s customer support. That is not all, like with other airlines, you can enjoy web check-in by name and booking reference. During your check-in, you can select your preferred seat, book a meal or add additional bags to carry. By paying a small fee, you can in fact book a seat with more space. If you plan to check-in at airport, note that check-in counters for domestic flights open 2 hours before departure. For international flights, the check-in opens 3 hours before scheduled departure. Boarding closes 20 minutes prior to departure. As for cancellation and refunds, note that it varies according to ticket type. In general, the airline allows fliers to claim refund within 90 days. More details on same will be available on the ticket’s terms and conditions section.

While for certain routes, Thai Lion Air offers free baggage allowance of 20kg, for few others, you will need to pay for carrying bags. The baggage allowance therefore varies according to route and even class of travel. However, fliers are allowed to carry cabin baggage of max weight of 7kg. The cabin bag must not exceed the height of 40cm, width of 20cm and length of 30cm. To pre-book baggage, you can go online or talk to the customer support. Be sure to check the list of restricted items so you can travel hassle-free. For queries or complaints on payment, cancellation, refund, lost baggage, or others, reach out to the Thai Lion Air customer service via phone or email.
