Stadium Overview
Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium was opened in the year 1924. Located in Austin, Texas, the sports stadium has a seating capacity of some 1,01,000. The seventh largest college stadium in the US, Texas Memorial Stadium is home of University of Texas at Austin Longhorns football team. The stadium is named in honor of American football coach Darrell Royal and also the 198,520 Texans who fought in World War I.
Tickets for games can be purchased at the UT Athletics Box Office, Bellmont Hall or other Texas Box Office locations. Payment for tickets can be made using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or cash.
