I walked into the Sunglass hut at Miracle Mile shopping center in Las Vegas. The associate Arlene grimaced when she saw me and within 5 minutes asked me to leave the store whilst I was browsing. I was shocked. I asked her why – she said just get out of the store very rudely. Was it because of the way I was dressed or the color of my skin? Not sure. I pose no threat. I am 64 years old but would like to know why I was treated this way.
I recently purchased a pair of Oakley sunglasses From sunglasses hut. I liked to way they fit in the store. But when wearing them outside they didnโt block the sun on the sides. So I go to return them. The lady holds them up looks at them. Then sprays them with cleaner rubs on them holds them up several times. Rubbing on each lens for at least 2 min.. keeps holding them up looking at them till she finally got a scratch in them. Then hands them back and says these are damaged. I canโt return these like this. No customer service what so ever. And to try yo get someone on the phone at corporate is a joke!!
I called and spoke to Abigail who is an assistant manager at the Fort Myers Sunglass hut on Cleveland Ave. on 11/18/22. She was so helpful and had such a cheerful and positive attitude the whole 37 minutes we spent on the phone as she answered my multiple questions about Oakley sunglasses I was looking at online and did a lot of research to help me. She really went above and beyond to not only find my account but also updated my personal information and helped me get the best paid of sunglasses. I would highly recommend this store because of her. Please give her my thanks and commend her for her excellent customer service tonight.
Shortly after I purchased a pair of Ralph Lauren sunglasses the connector at frame corner broke at the corner. Sunglass hut, Irvine Spectrum said they could not repair it and said I needed to go to a glasses shop because it needed to be soldered and they could not make that repair. I have been to 2 different eyeglass stores, a jeweler and Kaiser Permanenteโs optical department and NOONE can repair them! Iโm pissed! sunglass hut should have replaced them on the spot! Not send me away with no resolution. I have never been able to wear them after 2 times! This is an expensive purchase for me.
I am writing to complain about the deceptive practices of Sunglass Hut and the lack of respect from the manager at the Kiosk Macy’s location in the Montclair Mall in California. I purchased two pairs of sunglasses as Christmas gifts on 12/21/20. Prior to making the purchase I asked the sales woman about the return policy. She replied, you have 90 days to return your purchase. The following day I returned one pair of sunglasses and was told since I wasn’t going to purchase another pair of sunglasses from the store I would have to pay full price for the second pair of sunglasses which I was returning because I bought them on sale. In other words…in order to recieve a full refund I would have to return both pairs or pay the full price of the discounted pair. I explained, to the manager if the sales woman, would have explained the return policy to me from the beginning I would have opted to not to make any purchase. The manager then replied, oh sorry hun…that this wasn’t explained to you. Our store policy is written everywhere in the store and on the receipt. Long story short make sure you do your homework that 50% or 30% off for purchasing two pairs at one time is good from far but far from good.
Having bought expensive sunglasses for an overseas trip. Within a few days a screw fell out. Having not got my guarantee with me, neither a branch in NZ or Australia could help. In Australia I was told that it was an old obsolete design and I should demand a new pair. The George branch sent them away almost 2 weeks ago against my wishes. In the meantime I have had to buy new glasses ( not from Sunglasses hut) how long can it take to put in a screw? Not that I actually want a repair to brand new glasses. Disgusted!
