There are plans available for laptop, iPad, tablet, appliance, television, computer, camera, gaming gear, and wearables. SquareTrade covers drops/cracked screens, spills and liquid damage, mechanical/electrical failures, screen failure, power supply burnout or remote failure. Members can file a claim online any time of the day. Simply show the receipt and covered item. Most claims are approved instantly. If the item cannot be repaired, SquareTrade will send a replacement or reimburse you for one.
SquareTrade coverage begins when the manufacturer’s warranty ends. There are two types of plans for users to choose from – Accident Protection and Standard Plan. Accident Protection cover accidents like drops and spills. All items are repaired by experienced, certified technicians using high-quality parts. New users can choose from 3 year or 5 year plans. This Company doesn’t process your refund, because they prefer for you to settle for a Gift card from the store you’ve purchased the item from. They refuse to issue you a refund as promised in the contract. I’ve been waiting over a month and still no refund. There’s been many complaints regarding refunds from Square trade which which failed to keep the promise of the contract
By the way.. If you follow up with Customer service the Accounting Department gets upset, and demands that you find a family member, or family friend to use their address because they sent your reimbursement to the wrong address, or haven’t sent it out at all. It’s like some kind of scam to get you to opt for gift cards from Walmart if you chose to receive your payment in the form of a check.
Very poor service, I paid for Insurance on my phone , I brought from Walmart. Dropped and broke the screen, the phone hasn’t worked probably since. Filed a claim be getting the run around every since. Had to get another phone out of pocket. Paid 80.00 for this insurance. Not a honest company
This has honestly been the worst nightmare of customer service ever!!!! Filed a claim, uploaded my warranty and receipt. Took it like they told me to have it looked at Geek Squad but no way it could be repaired. Provided documentation from Geek Squad stating as such and uploaded that as customer service requested. Now they say nope not honoring warranty even though I provided and did everything they asked me to do. Now I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Today Charles, did a chat with me and he was so helpful. I was having a difficult time putting in my claim and he was doing his best giving me instructions on what to do and also making sure I wouldn’t lose him so he could continue to help me. Maybe it was because I’m elderly but at one point it was almost too much for me and I was ready to give up. He ended up processing the claim for me once I was able to upload my Amazon and Square Trade Protection Plan receipts. He was very kind and so patient throughout the entire session. I asked him how I could tell his boss to give him a raise and he mentioned there was a survey. He really went above and beyond to help me.
Very poor service. Have been waiting since Jan 3 for a reply about a claim on a broken printer. Original claim was filied on Oct.18, 2020. Have sent copies of receipt along with letter explaining problem, Have spoken to at least 5 representatives and just passed on to someone else. If the chat took too long it was ended and another call was started. very poor service. Will not purchase from this company again. Meanwhile I went out and bought another printer
