The book is the worst. I ordered a photo book and the front page has the head cut off. I bought it as a birthday gift. And the order was schedule to be delivered by June 1. It didn’t arrive until June 5. Then I opened and was so disappointed with the product it’s useless. Then to chat with someone they want to charge me 28 dollars for a membership.
I was truly excited to receive my orange box delivery until I opened it.

I had ordered two framed photo tiles and what came were 2 “paper” photos in a really cheap plastic frame with sticky tape on the back. I cannot give these as gifts!
When I created them, nowhere on the site did I see a description saying they would come like this.
I assumed they would be tile or at least some kind of coating over the paper.
And who wants to use sticky tape on their wall?
Seems to be the cheapest project I have created through Shutterfly and I am not happy. Thank God I used a coupon, I would’ve been furious if I paid full price & shipping for these!
You really need to put a “complete” description in with the projects before we take the time to create them. I would’ve never had these done if I would’ve known they would come out like they did! I will have to have new gifts made now.
I’m a long time customer and have created at least 20 photo books and another batch for other people. I found the custom path very enjoyable and truly relaxing to create layouts, place photos, add sidebars, headlines, etc. This is the first book since a large one in Feb 2020 since Covid halted most “everything” and I am over the top disappointed in the new revamp of a darn good photo book program. Placement is highly disjointed to the point items jump, jump, jump vs smooth placement. Resizing a photo takes additional steps and half the time does not place properly. I emailed customer service twice this week – heard nothing. Did a live chat yesterday and yes, they apologized and suggested I switch to Chrome to see if it made a difference. Nope – did not. Still jumpy photo placement, still a disjointed movement of items and just a hideous revamp of a good program. I had a book to do for three this week from a trip. I have an upcoming book to create for 18 in August…this is not going to happen with Shutterfly. Moving to Mixbooks. Bad move Shutterfly!
I agree with Sheila! I am usually making 2-3 photo books per year and ordering multiple copies, via the custom pathway. When trying to create my own photo book, I too am having trouble resizing photos, moving photos easily. What happened to the functional edit that I am accustomed to? It appears that Shutterfly wants customers to just upload photos and then Shutterfly makes you an instant book. This is not the path I want to follow. I ENJOY arranging, resizing, and editing my own photos. I am very, very disappointed with the new revamp of a tried and true format.
I absolutely concur!!!!!!!!! I also have made many, many books – wedding, travel, family history on mine and friends’ sites. no choices on frame colors, cannot add, move or import pages. Do I have to move, too?????
I am very unhappy with the quality of a puzzle I received. I have been trying to find a way to contact shutterfly to remedy this situation. But I am literally going in circles without ever being able to find a way to contact them about this issue. 100% happiness guarantee is their promise. I am not even close to 100% happy & the fact that it seems impossible to convey this to Shutterfly to figure out how to handle my issue is creating even more unhappiness.
I ordered 5 calendars 12/19/2020 and have not received them yet! I am unable to talk to anyone at Shutterfly! I have called and been on hold for 2 1/2 hours only to have been disconnected! I have emailed and tried to live chat with someone multiple times with no resolution! I am so disappointed as I have made calendars for my family every year for YEARS!
I ordered Christmas cards on December 5 and I received them December 30. Too late to send out!! Plus the order was old pictures I did not pick and the year printed on the cards was2019!! Also my note was not included to “have a happy new year love …us… This was a horrible experience. I spent alot of money for my order and all I was offered was a gift certificate to “compensate me”.
I ordered a photo book on Dec. 6, 2020 for a Christmas present. I spent hours creating it and ordered in plenty of time to receive before the holidays. It’s been a month and I still have not received it. Customer service has been of no help and I was told that it was lost in transit. I finally was able to communicate with a customer service rep via online chat and I was promised to have another one shipped out to me. I have not received confirmation of this nor have I received the photo book.
I ordered items on Jan. 1st. It’s now Feb. 8th and I still haven’t received all of my merchandise. I’ve contacted by phone and email. Nothing. If you email customer service, you get a cute norely@shutterfly that’s says “we want to help, follow this link”. Follow the link, you have to fill out all kinds of info. Last box is your order number. Then… absolutely nothing. The screen doesn’t advance and you can’t do anything. I’ve tried to send emails 5 times and it’s the same every time.
I won’t ever order anything from this place again. My birthday present for a friend was ruined, I’m out money, and the only thing I get from them is an inbox full of multiple “offers” from them every day. I’m contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge.
The book they shipped on Dec 6 is still list in the USPS system. Once UPS turned it over to the USPS it was sent all over the Midwest, Still missing and you can’t contact anyone at Shutterfly.
I ordered a 10×10 photo book in early December and have still not received it! It was suppose to be a gift for Christmas. Curiously enough, I ordered a book previous to this one which came very quickly. This one was promised by mid December.
I had photographs supposedly shipped on Dec 9, 2020. The tracking is useless and no one answers the customer service. The chat is never in service. Where are my prints. This is the worst and most frustrating experience I have ever had with a company
I have had the same experience. I placed an order on November 30th. It was supposed to arrive on December 9th. It was never received at my post office. I have been trying for ONE MONTH to contact customer support and no one answers. (Before Christmas I called and it was a 197 minute wait time.)
I am beyond frustrated. I spent hours creating this project, not to mention a good amount of money.
I will never buy from Shutterfly again. I ordered a canvas for my SIL and it supposedly shipped on 12/4 and it’s still not here. The tracking shows no movement. I don’t think they shipped it. They are giving me a refund but now I don’t have a gift for the SIL .And I don’t go out due to the virus.
And I paid for shipping – really – it should have been shipped with a reliable carrier not the US post service… they SUCK!
My sister purchased two puzzles for her granddaughters and there was an error. She has been trying to contract your customer service department for several days. When calling it cuts her off after the recording and there are also issues with chatting as it says your site is down. Please let me know of another way to contact customer service for her. I encouraged her to try Shutterfly and I am sorry that I did that since there seems to be an issue with connecting with your department.
Hi. I have tried to contact Shutterfly through GetHuman two times. I never received a call back the first time waiting five fours and I did not receive a call back the second time. I need to get my problem resolved.
I ordered 9 hard cover photo books from Shutterfly on 1/6/19. My Order is #023018326658-8000012. My total cost was $282.96. I sent 29 photos that contained titles for each bird photo. I centered each photo properly. I received 9 books on 1/11/19 with 20 photos, no titles and photos that weren’t centered properly. The project as described was the final one I did and it was placed in my cart when I originally entered my order. Please help.
I just spent 2 hours preparing a christmas card that is now LOST. I have used your site many times in the past but couldn’t see how to save it this time. Also had tremendous problems accessing screens to edit text on the card (which took most of the time). Wasted more time trying to find contact info. Called and told it’s after hours which it is not. SOOOO disappointed. This is why I am moving photo books etc to Costcophoto. can you recover my lost card?
I received a purse a few years ago made by Shutterfly with my grandsons picture on it. Over the years it has gotten pretty dirty. Can I machine wash it? Or should I have it dry cleaned? I just love it and I don’t want to ruin it.
I am not happy with the quality of my latest book you did for me: More Paintings by Roma – Inspired for Life. The pages are not holding in. I ordered 10 books. Very poor publicity.
I can not get into my sign in page for the pas 3 days, it clicks on for 1 second then off & a page comes up saying Shutterfly uses industry-standard SSL software to encrypt your personal information, including password & credit card numbers so that it cannot be read over the internet. for your convenience we keep you signed in until you sign out. It won’t move & cannot sign in. On my other computer it’s fine I can sign in like always, please get this off so I can use Shutterfly on this computer
