I just stayed at the Shilo Inn in The Dalles Oregon because I wanted to try a motel that would be better quality than I had been staying in. I trusted the name of Shilo Inn so decided on that one, It was a horrible mistake! the room was run down, the bed horrible condition and broke down, the patio had most of the paint peeled off of it, and garbage under the edge of the patio and air conditioner was very noisy, weeds everywhere outside in the yard area. The breakfast was so minimal and not appetizing so I did not try it, which I am glad because the trash can was full of the breakfast with one bite taken from it!
I recently stayed at the Shilo Inn in Ocean Shores Washington it was the worst experience I had ever had and I have stayed at many hotels.
First I was charged full price for a hotel that had no restaurant and no bar and I was not told at the time of my reservation that the hotel restaurant and bar was closed. Then I left a personal item at the hotel. When I called the next day I got a message that said they could not answer the phone leave a message.
I have never in my life called a hotel and got that kind of message. When I talked to the manager Juanita about her delay in calling me all I got was excuses after excuses. They want me to send them a shipping label so they can mail me back my personal item that I left at the hotel.
Most first class hotels would just send a personal item and they wouldn’t worry about a shipping label. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels I will never stay out of Shilo Inn again and I will recommend to all my friends not to stay at the Shilo Inn .
I felt a little ripped off being charged 400 dollars for a one night stay because it was my birthday. I had hoped they’d give me a break instead the person there took advantage of an old person who had suffered a stroke previously and on their Birthday how rude. You need to upgrade your TVs and put balconies on the oven front rooms too. I doubt I’ll ever stay there again. Very dissatisfied with the ocean shores Shilo Mr. Owner.

We stayed at your Shilo Inn in Helena on Thursday January 10th 2019.
Overall, we thought the stay was terrible. I am surprised that Shilo Corporate Would allow a franchise at this location. The room was dirty and smelly and the toilet would not flush properly. The add for this location states a morning breakfast but it was located in a very small corner of the lobby. It was over priced for the lodgeing. I am surprised that Mark would allow it. Is there no quality performance review. We would not recommend this location to anyone.

We are staying at the Bend Shilo Inn. Came home from a medical appt. and housekeeping had just thrown towels on the bathroom sink and apparently left. No other cleaning was done. I talked twice to the very rude desk clerk who stated housekeeping “may have gone home” so, basically stating “you are SOL”. I asked to speak to manager who isnt here. I wanted room cleaned or, at least, comped some which desk clerk said, since we prepaid for room, we couldnt get comped. Please remedy this situation. I will soon go on every site I can think of (Yelp, Shilo Inn Reviews, etc.) and write a very unpleasant, but very real, situation.
This is my email to Customer Relations. I have left 3 messages and sent one email with no response.
My name is Jennie and I stayed at your facility in Bend July 11-13, 2018 for a business trip. Upon arriving to my room and opening the back sliding glass door, I was greeted with animal excrement on my patio as well as ALL OVER the entire lawn outside my room making it impossible to walk to the benches by the river. I called the front desk and they said they would have someone take care of it. The next morning the yard actually looked worse than the previous day due to small dogs running around loose and pooping everywhere. As I left my room, I by chance ran into the General Manager. I let him know my concerns and he shrugged it off and said “we have someone pick up the dog and goose poop weekly but we can’t keep up with them”. When I returned from my meetings I had a change to relax in the room for a bit. That’s when I started noticing the filth. The chair in the room as well as the carpet were stained. There was a Cheeto next to one of the beds surrounded by bits of whatever that had attracted ants. There were dead bugs such as flies, beetles and spiders in the room and bathroom. The curtains were ripped and stained. Needless to say I was really disappointed at grossed out. When I checked out, the desk attendant was very nice and said she would take $20 off my rate. I told her that was not acceptable but I understood she did not have the authority to do much else.
I would like a refund. I was never offered another room, I was stuck inside because there was the smell of excrement outside my room, and this is simply not the standard I think your hotel wishes to live up to. My family and I have stayed at some of your other locations and have never had an issue, but due to this experience we are reevaluating our lodging for our next trip.
Hello, my name is Jim Boyde, I am president of Club Miata Northwest. We had a club outing I arranged that included an overnight stay at you Ocean Shores facility this last weekend, 3/18/17, I wanted to tell you how impressed and pleased my club members were with the hotel and the staff, Cynthia, Kevin and Peggy were all great and they even made the extra effort to block off a section of their parking lot so we were all able to park together. We all felt they went above and beyond in their duty. I would also like to compliment Dustin in Tacoma who helped me arrange the stay and was able to give us a great rate. If I am able setup the drive again next year I know we will return to your hotel.
Thank You
Jim Boyde
