Holiday Inn is an American brand of hotels, which is a subsidiary of InterContinental Hotels Group. The company was founded as a motel chain and is now one of the world’s largest chains. Wilson partnered with Wallace E. Johnson for the construction of other motels on the roadside entering Memphis. This was the time when the headquarters for the company was located in a plumbing shed, which was owned by Johnson. The company never looked back. One after another, Holiday Inn soon became a corporation and is currently one of the largest hotel groups globally.

The company is one of the most respected and recognised names in the United States. Holiday Inn currently has more than 2650 hotels across the US. Most of the hotels are owned by franchises and are famous as Holiday Inn Hotels and Suites, Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn SunSpree Resorts. In 2008 the company announced its famous timeshare program known as the Holiday inn Club Vacations. The company introduced features and amenities that went on to become industry standards. The standardised room size, telephones in rooms, free in-room television, ice machines, restaurants and swimming pools were just becoming a common sight back then. But thanks to the company, the standards of hotels were revolutionised. Some of the most famous properties in the US include Holiday Inn Express & Suites – Orlando At SeaWorld, Holiday Inn Express Springdale – Zion National Park Area, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Panama City Beach – Beachfront, and Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Desert Club Resort. A large number of Holiday Inn properties can be located at Texas, Missouri, Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, Kentucky, California, New York, Missouri and Virginia.

  1. My husband and I stayed at the hotel in Bonita Springs Florida during the hurricane. We checked in on Tuesday Sept 27 and. Checked out Friday the 30th. We were on the 3rd floor. We also had our ESA dog with us. The air conditioner was leaking all over the rug and it was saturated. Our smoke detectors battery was beeping for 5 minutes ever 20 minutes. We told them. Never fixed issue. The elevator stopped working when we lost power. After the hurricane the power still had not come back on. So we had one more day and asked if they could possibly move us to first floor our last day. I am 74 with a heart condition and couldn’t do the stairs. Not expecting no power outage. The clerk said no. I would have thought she would be more accommodating. My husband got a change of bedding and fresh towels. There also was mold on the window sill. Was not what i expected from a Holiday Inn.
