I have been getting charged monthly for this and I never signed up. I got a hold of someone last month and they said they would cancel it. However this month I see another charge. I am also reading that this is happening to many other people. There is no direct helpline for this. I don’t want to be a Karen but maybe attention needs to be brought to a more wide platform. People are struggling with paying bills and making ends meet. It’s sad that this company will take advantage of people.

I signed up for trial eReader, I was dissatisfied and canceled by letter two days after . This gave the employees at Scribd a month and two days to take care of it upon receiving the letter. Concealed the membership cancellation option in Such a way that even it will not get cancelled after thousand clicks. I was charged for two months even though I cancelled it the same day.Also the contents are poor and of no use.

I have not been able to log in to my account for 3 weeks. I have sent ten emails and searched the customer support and have not found any help and no response to my e mails. There is not published customer phone number to speak to a person for help. I enjoyed scribd very much, however, not being able to use it at all has greatly diminished the enjoyment. Hey I have subscribed the subscription long ago. But I got a debit amount of Rs.649 as a subscription charge.
