I called the Vernon CT location last night 11/07/2022 to find out about an extra pet fee. Was told that there be a one time fee of 20.00 for one extra pet. When I called today to place a reservation we asked again about the fee. First I couldn’t hear her, when I stated this the woman on the phone started screaming at me. Second when I asked about the extra pet fee she stated 20.00 a day not a one time fee. When I told her that I told was it was a one fee she said ” oh I bet you’d like that “. She was extremely rude and condescending.

My wife booked a room at your hotel on July 17 for Saturday night, July 30th. We were arriving in town for the Elton John concert. After being tied up in downtown traffic and finding our way to your location, my wife was told by your desk clerk that our reservations had been cancelled because of “maintenance.” The clerk told her that they had emailed and texted us sometime around 7:45. Had this been true, we would have been alerted that we had no room while sitting in a stadium with 35,000 people and a 3 hour concert about to begin. However, when my wife checked her phone, she had not received an email or text from Red Roof. So, of course, Wasted time to get through traffic and made our way to your location.
So, we were essentially stranded in Cleveland with no room, facing driving 2.5 hours home at 1:00 am. The clerk did not offer to help us find a room, other than saying we could “check up the hill.” We eventually drove out of town and could not find a place to stay until almost 2 am. I am confused at to why our reservation (made over two weeks in advance) was the reservation you decided to cancel. We eventually drove away from the city and made a reservation on-line on Priceline (which offers no refunds). When we arrived at the new hotel, our clerk claimed he had not received our reservation, so we were required to pay cash, even though we showed him our phone reservation. Now we must deal with that loss of time and money.
I would like to understand why you cancelled our stay at your hotel and why we did not receive notice that you had to do so. It appears that our late arrival may have offered you an opportunity to cancel our stay in favor of higher paying special events guests.
The Response: Clearly just an automated response. She apologizes for issues during our stay! I guess we did stay in the lobby for 5 minutes until we were told our room was cancelled.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the RED ROOF INN CLEVELAND – INDEPENDENCE. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the issues you experienced during your stay with us.
I booked a room at the Red Roof Inn on Thompson Rd in Syracuse NY because I was flying out of Syracuse the next day. HORRIFIC Experience. I didn’t last 10 minutes.. There was a drunk woman in the lobby. The door wouldn’t open. The key didn’t work. The mattress was disgusting. The lightbulb was a 5 watt. There were strange men everywhere and it smelled horrible. I feared for my life. No exaggeration.
I checked into redroof inn in prattville Alabama on September 18 checked out later same day My room was puddled The beds were soaking wet When I talked to customer service they said it was just condensation I repeat the floor was puddled a slip and fall hazard the beds were wet I took pictures of puddled floor in case there is anywhere to load to send
I booked a room at red roof inn Richmond south on commerce rd 8n Richmond virginia for 2 nights and called immediately after I booked it to make sure I could check in around midnight because I am traveling they said no problem. I called again today mid travel to give an eta and to make sure my room was safe and not given away. I was told that I would be checked in when. I got there. Upon arrival I gave my idea and immediately for an attitude form the desk clerk. She was acting like her giving my room to someone else was somehow my problem. Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought making a reservation means you have a place to stay. She was very rude poking her finger at me, I asked her why she was being so rude to me and she said im not dealing with this f$%&ing s&%$. Then I asked for her name. She said find out for myself. Not that hard to find out who works the midnight shifts at a 2 star hotel… seriously a good reason why she can’t work other shifts. Sorry excuse for customer service and I had to book another room at the best Western just to assure me and my son had a place to sleep. I dont expect anything will be ever said to that lady but she has just costed red room my colleagues and my own business. I am a redi member that stays very frequently. At least 4 times a month. Allowing crappy people to work for you will drive your business into the ground. I am the install manager at a Forbes top 5 HVAC company. I will make sure to spread the word about the terrible customer service afforded me.
My mom and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn in Little Rock Arkansas. We did not have a very nice experience, Mom was bitten up on her arms. The whole time we stayed there and we were staying August 21- August 25. We were able to get house keeping to change the towels and take the trash out up until the 24th, ONLY because I stood at the Door to make sure that it got done. I left early on that day and Mom stayed behind . the card for house keeping was on the door BUT yet nothing was done. I took the trash and used towels down to the front desk and was told to take the trash out myself. NOT MY JOB!!!!!! So I left it at the front desk, this was about 7-8 pm the manager came up and said I was disrespectfull to his employee and threated to kick us out. AFTER I was told to take off the safety latch . If I wouldn’t have”t had it on in the first place He was going to barge into the room using he master key. Lucky enough Mom was standing at the bathroom door and so he did not attempt to enter the room as he was going to do. Who knows what he was going to do to me if she wouldn’t have been right there .. The manager had no right to force me to take off the safety lock. Who else had this guy done things to????? is this the type of people you want to run you motels????? I will tell people not to go there and it also was not clean. when we got to the room there was dirty socks in the chair. Best western will get our business next time.
Thank you for your time, Even if this doesn’t go anywhere at least someone knows I have got it off my chest.

I am writing this about the RED ROOF INN, CORPUS CHRISTIE, TEXAS. My friend n I are both seniors and decided to get away for a few days. So, we called n made reservations at the red roof inn in Corpus Christi, Texas. The lady one the phone was so sweet n worked to give us everything we asked about. Even though we had to pay quite a bit more than it had stated on line, she was still wonderful. The drive from Dallas took a lot more out of us than we expected, so when we arrived at 12:30 am we simply wanted to get our stuff in the room n sleep.. when my friend went to check in the lady at the desk was so rude and abrasive my friend came out in tears! She begged me not to go back in to correct the lady’s attitude because we were exhausted. We finally get our bags in the room, no thanks to the fact they don’t have any carts to help. We quickly realized there wasn’t a refrigerator or microwave, (I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels but, never one without those amenities) the dirt built up in the corners of the room was disgusting and the floor was sticky! We were too tired and I was way to mad to handle it. When we woke up, we were hurting so badly neither of us could hardly move. Without making this a book, I’m just going to say, we ended up staying until yesterday, Saturday the 8th. SHE paid twice the price for the weekend n had to move us to a different room with only one bed and more dirt, on the 2ond floor. Noisy, and the air didn’t work properly. With a heat index of 112° degrees you would think it would. That lady made my friend cry twice more b4 we left and I wasn’t physically able to even go to the office. We both spent a lot of money for a place that not only emotionally but physically mad us miserable.
I stayed in Stockton CA in July for three days!
It was the worst experience ever! The non smoking rooms smelled like cigarettes!
People were banging on my door at all hours of the night. I called the front desk after hours no answer!
The fan in the bathroom never turned off.
.FYI I did try and find another hotel in the area they were booked for the weekend I was their.
I just checked into the Red Roof Inn on Washington Rd in Augusta, GA. There is a large amount of water all over the floor in one corner. The trim is pulled away from the side of the wall in one area and the TV doesn’t work. The entire property is just run down. If it wasn’t after midnight, I’d leave.
We stayed at a red roof inn room#370 in Walterboro SC room#212 Friday Night 6/18/21 for one night off of 95 I am not one to complain but this needs an attention it was very late when we came in we were tired so I did not go back up to the office but the place was filthy it was not Covid cleaned there was water stains from a glass on the nightstand the toilet had a water ring in it the towels were supposed to be white but very stained there was mold stain in the bathtub on the bathmat not that we needed it but they had a holder for a hairdryer which was not even there the TV did not work had one channel the air conditioner was unbearably loud vibrating out of the wall basically the place was unacceptable and we did stay in many places we are from New Jersey and we’re on vacation in Florida we were traveling on 95 up and down thought it was a good place to rest for the night thought someone would like to know thank you
Red roof Inn Kingsport TN is advertised as non smoking. However 2-4 employees at a time throughout the day ( whenever we walked by) are gathered smoking within inches of the courtyard lobby entrance which I witnessed being used far more than the main lobby. Even with my mask on the stench of cigarettes and smoke hit you in the face as soon as you approach the front desk. I have a lung disease…which makes me very short of breath with exertion. I should not have to walk around that half of the building to avoid cigarette smoke to get to the lobby to get coffee, ice, breakfast or vending. Also they are leaving cat food out at that entrance and it smells like cat urine in a lot of different areas. It’s disgusting. Employees should have scheduled cigarette breaks away from guest areas. They should not be allowed to be standing there anytime they want to stink up the lobby. This employee smoking issue is an issue at your Johnson City TN location as well. I believe I am finally fed up with this problem and I will be checking out other economy brand motels.
