About Quip
Quip is a subscription-based service providing oral care products. Founded by Simon Enever and Bill May in 2014, Quip has its headquarters at Brooklyn, New York. It was set up with an aim to make oral health services more accessible and affordable. Quip’s current offerings include electric toothbrushes, optional toothpaste, timely dental check ups and oral health advice. The subscription plans include automatic delivery of a fresh brush head refill on a 3-month schedule, rewards and support. Customer can add a tube of Quip toothpaste to the subscription for an additional fee. Gift or refer friends and you can earn credits. For every friend you refer, you get a $5 refill credit.
New users can start with a starter set on the Quip eshop. You can also gift a 3-month starter set and refill plans to friends and family. The starter set comes with an electric toothbrush handle of your choice, battery and optional toothpaste. You can choose the handle between silver, slate, copper, gold and plastic. The supplies are refreshed every three months. It comes with free shipping for life. If you want your family members to use Quip as well, there are electric family sets you can purchase. Quip comes with a regular AAA battery inside. Quip’s brush head is made up of 1,200 soft DuPont nylon bristles inserted into 34 tufts. The electric motor vibrates the bristles at 15,000 brush strokes each minute.
Payment for new subscriptions can be made using Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Refill plan packages ship free in the US. There are basic, priority and express shipping options for US and global users. The standard shipping within the US can take 3-7 business days. Shipping is handled by DHL and USPS. You can cancel your subscription any time by signing into your account. If your not happy with Quip’s starter kit, you can reach the support within 30 days to request full refund. I Have spent all morning trying to contact you. I want to cancel my subscription and can’t reach the customer care.
I have called and left messages and texted with “robot” in online chat. I was sent the wrong head with automatic refill. Sent a small pediatric head instead of adult!! Your customer service stinks! I am a dental hygienist and although product is good, customer service is SO bad, i would hesitate to ever recommended product!
I absolutely love my quip toothbrush and would never consider anything but a quip. However, their customer service is the worst. EVER. I have e-mailed them twice with a simple question: does the new children’s quip head interchange with the adult head.
I wish this company all the success in the world. I would be heartbroken if they failed. Maybe they are so successful, it has caught them off-guard and they simply don’t have their act together…..yet.
Customer service can make or break a company. A product can be horrible but if they have good solid customer service, they will still succeed. If their customer service is horrible, they will eventually fail.
QUIP: please fix your customer service. It would also be helpful to hire someone to actually answer the phone and not just give callers instructions to e-mail them.
QUIP: please please please, fix your broken e-mail system. Add enough staff to handle the volume of e-mails.
You obviously started out as a “mom & pop” company but it is time to take it to the next level and operate more professionally.
