Travellers can search for a hotel on the website by inputting the date, location and number of guests. On the search results, you have the option to filter by accommodation type (apartment, hotel, home), and hotel facilities (parking, WiFi, AC, elevator, pool, conference room, banquet hall, TV, in-house restaurant, and parking). Most OYO properties are well maintained with the choice of AC, free Wifi, TV and clean washrooms. On each of the property listing, you can see the list of amenities you can receive there, the price after discount, check-in/check-out time (varies according to property) and the cancellation policy. The standard check-in time is 12 noon. Some properties allow early check-in for free and others might charge a nominal account. Early check-in will be subject to availability. Most locations, dont provide refund in case of no show. Also booking cannot be cancelled or modified after check-in date. However, some locations allow cancellation within 10 minutes after booking. I booked 4 rooms through priceline.com in July for a family vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was an extremely low rate so I called the hotel and booking platform to confirm that the reservation and price would be honored. After two calls to each, I was informed by a lady who answered the phone at the hotel that they were aware and was told they would have to honor the price. Well, two months later I have now gotten an email from booking.com that says there was on error and the hotel will keep the reservation if I agree to their full weekday and weekend rate we are talking almost $250 per day more and $350 for the weekend. That’s a lot! This rate is higher than what the current booking price on the websites are showing. No one cares that I called and verified this after booking, that they are canceling our family vacation that we have made plans for, taken time from work off and adjusted our budgets due to what we booked the room for. They are just canceling and have no concern or regard for the hardship they are causing. The prices and availability now, are not what it was at the time time of booking. Of course availability and cost are more the closer it gets to the time. Neither OYO nor Priceline will say who owns the mistake. I read about canceled reservation with the hotel when arriving for check that they were not aware of. I was sent an email and have 24 hrs to let them know if I wanted the reservation at full price or the reservation would be canceled free of charge. I already had the free cancelation as part of my reservation. How can you plan something when you can’t rely on it. If this was going to be canceled, it should have been canceled when I called to confirm or shortly there after, not months later. Someone should have to make this situation right, and honor the reservations made. This is ludicrous!
Payment of room rent was forcefully collected by Hotel Radhika – Mr. Mohan by name, in spite of showing documents of prepaid details, confirmation etc. No receipt was given for cash payment at the hotel, no register entries of tourists? How the authorities are permitting such fraudsters to flourish like this? No rules and regulations.
I have cancelled my booking after few minutes of booking in 08/08/2022. No refund in my account, whereas refund status shows – success, Refund of INR …..Rs successfully transferred. I will wait upto 15th August 2022, if I do not get the money I will complaint to consumer forum. Customer service is really bad.
Last Thursday my wife and I checked in at Oyo Motel in Wichita Falls Tx. I believe it was the one on Wolcott. My first clue should have been when the man told me it was cash only. When I got to room 227 We found a huge stain in one of the pillow cases. Later I went for ice and was told the ice machine was broke. When we needed the bathroom we found we only had half a roll of bathroom tissue. Then we called to ask for the WI FI pass word and the lady kept screaming HELLO. However she could not hear us due to the phone not working properly. Iam not sure if all your hotels are like this one, but I dont plan to find out.
It’s such really disappointing to know how OYO respond to my complaints about the process of my refund. It’s been more than 2 months and yet there is no news about it. They said the process already began since 28-02-2020, but until today 07-05-2020 I haven’t received the redund. Actually the refund is less than $10.00 but I think OYO doesn’t care about its reputation anymore.
I am very disappointed with the way they don’t pay back the 100 dollar security deposit. They want the money when you stay there but take over a month to get your refund
