First off I Love My Lidl store at 670 Grand Central Sta, Apex, NC 27502. I always get great customer service. I do have a question about a product though. I have always purchased your ” Homestyle Cornedbeef hash ” It’s far superior to the other brands I’ve purchased but the past few months it hasn’t been stocked. WHY ? ….. I’m glad I bought a few cans the last time it was stocked. Please restock this Item. Thank You !
I shop at the Lidl on 3315 Sides Branch Rd. Winston Salem, NC. When they first opened it was well stocked and the employees appeared to be interested in customer service. The bakery has gone completely downhill. They are often out of the dinner rolls (Brรถtchen) and the Farm Bread. Today I could see a cart of the dinner rolls in the employees bakery area. I mentioned to the cashier that I wanted to purchase more than four and that I could see they had more in the back. She just made a mumbling sound and continued to ring up my groceries.
Every time I am there to buy flowers they are in buckets without water. I have mentioned this several times at the register and have gotten zero response. There is no telling how long they have sat without water.
I am German and am happy that I can find sauerkraut, Brรถtchen, marzipan and other goodies but I worry that this store will go out of business with their lackluster customer service. Maybe they are short staffed which many retailers are these days. I just hope they get their act together.
It’s hard to remain a customer when the One checkout line has far too many people on it. You don’t have self check out, you don’t have an express line and you don’t have anyone in charge that recognizes fast enough that you need more cashiers to check out. This is the store in w. Babylon, Ny
Unfortunately I will not be able to shop at Lidl anymore. (Timonium, Md store) . I am disabled and need to have groceries delivered. The delivery service you offer is Shipt. I found out AFTER receiving my order that Shipt raises EVERY item’s price from the store price… My order was $122.95 according to the receipt from Lidl. I was charged $158.53 by shipt with every item increased substantially in price from the store;s… Additionally, I was charged a $10.00 delivery fee and a $22.00 tip for the shopper. I am not able to afford close to $100 to have my groceries delivered. I am not able to come to the store. Lidl’s prices are what attract people to your store…but the increase in item pricing (some as high as $3.00) prohibits me from patronizing your store… NO WHERE on the Shipt sign up or the Shipt order forms is this practice explained to the customer. Sorry you have chosen these outlaws to deliver for your customers…you will be losing not only me but many others because of this practice. Their price raising makes shopping at your store many times more expensive than other local stores who provide their own delivery service or Instacart who outline their pricing (i.e. store pricing) on their order forms…When I complained to Shipt they were vague and unclear, basically saying this was their company policy !!!! I have complained to not only Shipt but the Better Business Bureau and to many folks locally. After many e-mails Shipt has agreed to pay me the difference between their price and the Lidl store receipt but said they would not do this again.
Sorry to lose you.
The Lidl Wheaton MD store started great. The store was clean shelves were properly stocked and the staff was friendly. All of this has changed. The refrigerated bins are leaking water and the isles are lined with rolls of paper towels to absorb the water . The shelves are empty, the fruits and vegetables are old , wilted and ready for the dumpster, and three large displays of Mums (at least 60 plants) are wilted. Food items are mislabeled, and the staff is grouchy. I doubt this store will last much longer
Seems as if it is a problem of all Lidl stores same here in Danville Va. Packed to the rim during first year now I refuse to go there. It is more of a beer and wine store now. Half the products can not be found. Bins empty. Manager claims he has more products than ever. All products that we once loved replaced. Parking lot now mostly empty.
Received horrible customer service at Lidl on Buffaloe Rd in Raleigh NC, as my 14 year old son was falsely accused of shoplifting. To make matters worse the associate did not approach me or communicate with me as I was preoccupied at self checkout and she detained and questioned my son without my consent. She lead him to show her exactly where he placed the item she accused him of stealing and when he complied (again without my consent) she just said ok and walked away. There was no apology to my son or myself and further more what she did was traumatizing to my son and left me in a state of utter disbelief. Never in all my years have we had this type of treatment.
Have been pleased with Oakdale,N.Y.Lidl and was looking forward to opening of your Islip,N.Y.store 2 months ago, however that store has been a large disappointment.Carts are not collected in parking lot and when they are they remain with trash and store fliers. The entrance and exit are both serviced by a single door where there are rarely sanitizer sprays or wipes, just a display of empty bottles and boxes, this speaks poorly of management/staff.Upon entering the store I am immediately in vegetable dept.however the aisle is so narrow, stopping to pickup an item backs other shoppers out the door. The general appearance of the store is one of neglect with litter apparent as overhead is blasting music. The few times I have asked for assistance finding an item staff has been helpful but if the conditions of this new store continue to deteriorate I will shop elsewhere
Went to Lidl at 435 Saint James Avenue SC 29445 on June 16 2021 and put my cell phone for my discounts, didnโt look at my receipt until I got home to find out that the discounts (many) were not taken off my total, and the app did not work for me. I live 30 minutes away from Lidl and was not going to go back (storms). I waited till the next day 6-17 21 and spoke to a manager there( another trip) to tell me to call the customer care # , came home called number to get my credit and my discounts I never received to find out they are not accepting any phone calls! So I am out of the discount money plus the points I received that day.
The new Lidl store in Weehawken, NJ will probably go out of business soon
The cashiers are rude and the place is starting to be dirty
Bakery? What bakery? Can’t ever find fresh bread I guess I got to go there and get online before the store opens. Wee
Dear Customer Service Staff,
Having lived in Germany I was excited to discover a LIDL less than 10 minutes away from our new home. I raved to all who would listen about how much better it is than ALDI’s. Lately, my enthusiasm has turned to dismay.
1. Price – Your prices have increased considerably over the past year, when we first started shopping at the Winston-Salem Silas Creek Pkwy store.
2. Out-of-Stock – You are routinely out of stock on items, to the point where it is hit-or-miss and we end up making a second stop at our beloved Publix. This cannot be blamed solely on the pandemic since we experienced this phenomenon in late 2019 (before) and as recently as today.
Items typically out of stock:
Sauerkraut (ironic for a German grocer)
Frankonian Wurst
LIDL lactose free milk 2%
Beers by numbers (02, 04, etc) or the beer i found just last week but not this week
specific toilet paper (Soft & Strong)
specific napkins (the nicer ones)
Speekulos biscuits (the ones like Bischoffs)
LIDL Ginger Ale frig packs (explain that one because it’s your own brand!)
Adding insult to injury, you cannot call a specific store to see if an item is in stock, so you must “gamble with your gas and time”.
3. Birthday Gift – And last, but not least, my birthday treat – Belgian chocolate shells were out of stock in the size that was to be gifted. Of course, I didn’t realize this until the box I found rang up at full price. Fortunately, I was paying attention and had the cashier back it out, while I went searching for the right size, which wasn’t there. This was slightly embarrassing and the people behind me in line were less than thrilled. When I returned, I expected her to say something along the lines of “Apologies for the inconvenience, but since we’re out of that size, we’d like to offer you the next size up to compensate.” Instead, her response was “Oh, we must be out then.” Not the best service recovery.
4. Sanitizing Carts – You stopped having an employee greet customers with a clean, sanitized cart. Now it’s do-it-yourself with items missing, sometimes its the sanitizer spray, other times the paper towels. Trying to find an employee not behind the register to report it to is a quest.
5. Smelly Seafood – When I slid the door to the horizontal cooler, I got a whiff of spoiled seafood and proceeded to immediately close the door right up again. Normally, the quality of your products is outstanding.
Well, that’s about all for now. I will continue shopping at LIDL, but realize the discounts and inventory are shrinking to the point where I might just choose to go to straight to Publix, Harris Teeter, or Lowes.
