I bought brand new Kia Sportage 2019’ 1.6 crdi diesel. The car is driven 95% only on open roads, & recently my dpf light start flashing & says please check your exhaust system, the car has only 24 000km, I checked to my local dealership but without success, they didn’t know how to help me. The flashing light is showing every day.
I bought a 2020 Kia Niro Hybrid, this car was imported from South Korea a few months ago, there is a light epb on the information screen it says there is a glitch. Upon examining the car, the international examination, which includes a report on the car’s record in the country from which it came, regarding whether there were recorded accidents, and regarding the validity of the mileage reading, the maintenance record, and the recalls from the manufacturer, it was found that it had a recall at Kia Corporation in South Korea about changing wires epb (free change and maintenance). I called the Kia maintenance company near me and informed them about this. And they will not respond to me and inform me that they are not responsible for this call because it does not concern the safety of the passenger, but rather it is just a wire change that helps to read system signals epb.

I have contacted the official dealer, I have also contacted the importer, but I have not received any help. My car has been parked for 5 days, I can’t use it, can’t get it to the warranty repair. This is the worst service I have ever encountered. I will never buy another Kia car again. Although I was already looking at the new Sportage lineup. That is my unfortunate first experience with Kia. I am from nz and have a 2017 kia optima gt and have been advised that there will be no more updates to the nz maps. I think this is very very poor service. Last update of maps appears to be may 2021. I would have thought kia would have supported their products a lot better that this. I was a big fan of the kia brand but now that this is their lack of support will not be supporting or recommending either the cars or service. Given no more updates I no longer see the need to support kia by getting them to service the car either so will look to another service provider to do the maintenance.
KIA headquarters in Malaysia did not honour the Warranty Service (40K kilometers) for my KIA Carnival. According to the HQ service manager, my car’s chasis number is not in their system. Several other warranty services for the same car before this were fine, completed without any issues. Should I report to the authority about the “unregistered chasis number”, to protect my interest?
I’m from Australia. Seems Kia is the same all over, happy to sell their product (which is a good product), but when there are issues their customer service centres just fob you off. I bought our Kia new and my rear diff went on my 2012 Sorento at 230,000 km has never towed a van, replaced tyres in sets of four and rotated regularly, so for a diff to fail at this mileage is ridiculous. Contacted Kia Australia and their advice ‘Take it to a dealer’ Really? I have researched Sorento rear diff issues and found I am no orphan with this complaint. The Kia customer service experience (not dealer wise), was such that I will never purchase another Kia. I’m sure if my enquiry had been for the purchase of a new Kia they would have been all over me; but there you go.
I bought a Kia Niro 2020. I have an issue with updating the navigation update software. I could not update, the official service could not update. The software product owner’s customer support could not solve the issue.
This has been a couple months and I can not reach any Kia official to pass my problem. I am alone on my own with my problem.
I would like to complaint about the Service Department of KIA Malaysia. I have engine knocking sounds problem of my 2017 Cerato about 2 months ago I brought the car to the KIA service centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam here for them to rectify the problem and solve it before it’s worsen. But, the technician told me to wait until they get a car with similar problem to know whether the sound is normal or not When I asked how long do I have to wait, the reply was indefinite time. I never came across any mechanic that need to wait for another car to compare before the problem can be fix. Definitely knocking sound is NOT normal as it only started 2 month ago and never before that. My car plate number PND 990 with a good service history and still under warranty.
Booked KIA Sonet in and the dealer promised to deliver in 3-4 months, now it is over 5 months and still not yet received. Contacted the KIA India customer care but no response and their phone number is not working. Worst customer service. Dealer and KIA not valuing time and effort of customer. Dealer now is saying that still after 5 months they cant guaranty any delivery time or provide me with alternative option.
I am having ongoing issues with Kia over faulty paint work. Kia in 2018 recalled all yellow stingers to be repainted with a lifetime warranty on the paint work. The paint on my Kia stinger cracks after it hits a stone chip. Their warranty means nothing and is not worth the paper it is written on.
I am from Pakistan. Few months ago I booked a Kia sportage alpha which was not readily available. Initially I was charged 25% of the total price and few weeks later I paid the 100% of the amount. The company, Lucky Motors, promised to deliver the car in January with most probability in the first half of January 2022. Last week I contacted them to ask for the updates, they informed me that we can tell you about the date of delivery after 15 February. Actually, the company recently got the contract with the Peugeot car company, due to which they have stopped the production of Kia cars for now and producing Peugeot with full capacity which they are vigorously marketing. That is fine, but they have even violated the promise of delivery for their own interest. Since in Pakistan there is no rule the law is only the law of power but a common man has no rights.
I’m from Kazakhstan. In 2018, I bought a new KIA Sorento with a 2.4 engine. In September of the current 2021, a crack appeared on the oil pan, a factory defect. Within three months, the service cannot fix this problem under warranty. Each time they say they have not received a replacement part yet. At the same time, they do not provide a free car, and I cannot use my car. The warranty service is disgusting. When I first encountered such a situation, I realized that it was impossible to buy KIA cars.
I would like to highlight a problem with Rome (Italy) KIA Service: my Carens (2015) needs replacement of clutch, service belt pulley and the service belt. The Kia customer service told me that the technical intervention would be finished in one week more or less. Today I learned that spare parts will not be available until the end of December, so the consequence is that I will be without a car for the next three months !!
Frankly, I have no words to comment this situation…

I own an 8-year-old Kia Rio. The engine has just stopped working while I was driving. No warning. I took it to the Kia dealership where if has been serviced every year since it was bought. I was told that the engine is dead and they are asking me to find a new or a reconditioned engine for replacement.
Is it expected for an 8 year engine with less than 80.000Kms, serviced every year by the dealership to die? I have been reading on the internet that Kia has many issues with engines an is replacing a big number of them.

I would like to make a complaint regarding a problem with the gearbox. The Kia customer service accepted the replacement of the gearbox under warranty, but now I’m waiting for my car for more than 1 month! Moreover, the customer service is not able to give me a forecast of when the replacement will be available… they only said that should arrive by the 30th of November (more than 3 months). I asked for a courtesy car and they said that it is not foreseen by the regulation but I’m wondering if a spare part is expected to take 3 months to be supplied…
This is a horrible situation that I never expected from Kia
I recently purchased 2 brand new factory delivered KIA Picantos for my daughters, and when it came to light that the Carplay connectivity for both Apple and Android dont work, what do you think KIA have done…? Well the answer is nothing but side step the issue and cost me time money and patience. This issue was a known issue by the manufacturer, but when we purchased the vehicles this was not brought to our attention, even after we specifically asked if there were any issues with these vehicles that we had to be aware of. In fact we were told of the benefits of their new wireless systems.
I have a peeling paint issue on my 2015 Kia Sorento, pearl white in colour. This is a factory defect as has been confirmed by 3 independent auto body shops as well the dealership in Sarnia, Ontario yet Kia refuses to acknowledge it. It is costing me $750.00 to repair the paint. Just not fair
