IndiGo is the largest airline in India in terms of fleet size and the number of passengers. This budget airline, with the highest market share in India, is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. Founded as a private company in the year 2006, the company went public in the year 2015. One of the most well-known airlines in India, IndiGo operates 1,500 flights every day. The airline was allowed to fly only domestic flights till the year 2011. In January 2011, five years into its existence, IndiGo flew its first international flight. IndiGo has become famous among Indian passengers because it has simplified multiple processes for its customers. IndiGo was one of the pioneers in introducing web check-in in India. Through Web check-in, the customers can check into their flights in the comfort of their home without having to stand in the long queues at the check-in counter. It must be noted that the travelers traveling from Jeddah are allowed to carry 25 kgs of luggage and 5 kg of Zamzam water.
While traveling with IndiGo, if you encounter lost, damaged, or delayed luggage, you will have to inform the IndiGo baggage assistance counter at the destination airport or head over to the information kiosk. If your luggage is damaged, you will be required to speak to the staff members. In case you leave the airport premises without reporting the loss or damage, IndiGo will assume that you have received your luggage in a good condition.
