About Fox Theatre
Fox Theatre is an historic performing arts center located in central Detroit, Michigan. When it opened in 1928, it was a movie theatre that had the distinction of being the second largest in the world. Today, a top entertainment destination, it has a seating capacity of 5,050 and regularly hosts musicals, concerts and shows. The iconic theatre, designed by C Howard Crane, is owned by Olympia Entertainment. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, the theatre boasts a neo-Gothic and Art Deco facade, besides influences of Chinese, Persian, Indian and Burmese motifs. Designated a National Historic Landmark, Fox Theatre is located near the Grand Circus Park Historic District. The Central United Methodist Church, Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena and Detroit Opera House are some of the attractions nearby.

The historic theatre is centrally located and can be accessed by bus, cab and light rail. Bus stations within walkable distance include Woodward & I-75 Service Dr, Cass & Columbia, Grand River & Elizabeth and Rosa Parks Transit Center – Bay 12. If driving your own car, parking is available on Montcalm Street between Woodward Avenue and Park Boulevard. There are more than 30 parking locations within The District Detroit. Accessible parking spaces are available on a first-come basis. Book your parking online to avoid last minute rush. The parking garages are open round-the-block, throughout the week.
