On 27th November, around 2pm I visited the Nuneaton store to purchase a bed. I was met by a young salesman called Rob. He initially was OK.
As we discussed my needs and he showed me around I made a decision to buy two beds instead of one that I had initially come for aa I thought one could replace the old one at my Air bnb business.
We had agreed on the price of a clearance kingside bed and I told him I am taking it. We even shook hands and fist-greeted as signs that the deal was sealed. I took my debit card from my wallet ready to pay. As he was preparing to enter my details into the company system, I asked how many pillows he had offered me for the clearance bed that I was ready to pay for. This was with a view to buying an additional one if he had not offered me enough. Lo be held. Rob flipped at me and rudely told me to “take it or leave it.” He had not even bothered to explore why I was asking the question. His tone of voice and demeanor changed instantly from being an OK salesman to being a nasty one. I was taken aback by his sudden rudeness and change of attitude and demeanor towards me.
I politely showed him that I was ready to make a purchase, but he continued saying it did not matter whether I bought the bed or not he would still be paid his salary. I was shocked by his uncalled humiliation of me and rudeness and lack of commercial or business awareness and customer care. Whilst this all happened, his manager was sitting at a nearby desk attending to another customer. I have always bought my beds from Dreams, but after this experience, I walked away feeling that I would not be buying any bed or anything from Dreams again.
Was in store today pricing a new bed. Adam Cummings came to assist us, he was truly amazing. His knowledge of products was outstanding. I will highly recommend Andy to everyone I know. His is professional, friendly and polite. He is a credit to your company.
