Delta Airlines is one of the pioneers when it comes to convenient travel. The carrier has made online check-in available for all its passengers within 24 hours of the departure. Web check-in can be done on the website and Fly Delta app. If you are traveling outside of the United States, you will have to reach the airport at least 3 hours before the departure. Delta makes it mandatory to check-in at least an hour before the scheduled departure. You will have to be at the gate, ready to board, 45 minutes before your scheduled flight. If you are traveling within the United States, you will need a valid US government-issued photo identity card while passing the security. Delta accepts IDs, including passports, driver’s licenses, Military ID, and other government issues identity cards.
Travelers in the main cabin of the Delta, traveling within the United States, can carry a baggage size that must not exceed 152 cm (62 inches), totaling the length, width, and height. Every passenger can carry up to 10 checked bags on the Delta operated flights. Passengers can check-in without paying any baggage fee for up to two bags, depending upon the route, bag weight, and class of service. First-class Delta passengers can check for two free bags weighing up to 32 kgs each. If you are flying in Delta Premium Select class, you can check in with two bags, 23 kgs each. Main Cabin passengers will have to pay US$ 30 for the first bags, US$ 40 for the second bag, and any checked bag should not exceed 23 kgs. Every passenger can carry one carry-on bag and one personal item. The carry-on bag should adhere to the size limit and should not exceed 45 linear inches in dimension. Carry-on bags should not weigh more than 158 lbs. (7kgs).
