About Center Parcs
Center Parcs is a leisure company founded by Piet Derksen in 1968. It operates a network of holiday villages in Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, UK and Ireland. The UK operations began with the first village opened at Sherwood Forest in 1987. Center Parcs operates five Villages in the UK namely Sherwood Forest (Nottinghamshire), Elveden Forest (Suffolk), Longleat Forest (Wiltshire), Whinfell Forest (Cumbria) and Woburn Forest (Bedfordshire). Each village is set within around 400 acres of nature and wildlife, and boasts of more than 200 indoor and outdoor activities. The villages also come with its own restaurants, cafes and retail outlets. In 2016, the company won Tommy’s Awards Best UK Holiday Provider for the 13th consecutive year.
As for activities, you have crafts, indoor sports such as tennis, squash, badminton, indoor climbing walls, swimming pools and yoga classes. For outdoor activities you have sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, golf, bike safari, trekking, among others. If the sports don’t interest, there is plenty options to shop and dine.
