About Cabify
Cabify is a ride-hailing service launched in 2011. Founded by Juan de Antonio, the company serves travelers in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Operating from its headquarters at Madrid, Spain, Cabify today has services in about 38 cities. The regions include Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, Peru and Uruguay. Similar to the popular ride-hailing apps Uber and Lyft, on Cabify users can book a cab to their current location. The app uses GPS to direct drivers to the location of the user.
The cars come with magazines, water and music. There are various types of vehicles depending on location and need. You can book a car from Cabify Lite (economical), Electric (electric vehicles), Executive (premium cars), Group (big cars) or Ecotaxi. Once a car has been booked, users will get real time information of the driver location. Payment for the ride can be made within the app using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal. Reservations can be viewed and managed by signing into account.
To begin using the app, you will need to sign up for an account on the website or app. Besides catering to individuals, Cabify also has solutions for businesses. Cabify for Business is already used by more than 50,000 companies. Companies can specify the schedule of employees and automate travel management. If you want to become a driver, you can add your car to the fleet of Cabify vehicles. Once registered, you can start to earn a stable income on all drives. Customer service is impossible to contact. The Bogota, Colombia office is closed 3 days a week. The automated responses make no sense. Cabify would not process the same debit card that I use for Uber (in the United States and I Colombia) and my bank did not decline the request.
