About Bulgaria National Police
Policing in Bulgaria is administered by the National Police Service. Part of the Ministry of Interior, the agency is headed by the General Directorate of Police. The regional directorates can be located across Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Lovech, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pernik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Sliven, Sofia, Targovishte, Haskovo, Shumen and Yambol. The National Police is responsible for investigating crime, protect people and property, control traffic, patrol neighborhoods, and arrest violators. The Ministry of Interior operates a portal for electronic administrative services. The portal allows visitors to make payments for traffic fines and even reach out to authorities for assistance.
