Over 2years ago we had a new cylinder fitted in the loft, because the old one was leaking into our bedroom ceiling.But not before we had to have a number of engineers saying there was nothing wrong with it. Eventually we had a Lady engineer saying it definitely needs replacement.So it got replaced and we got the ceiling repainted with a specialist paint cover.The water supply from the cylinder was very bad giving us about 2inches of water before spluttering and giving in.Unfortunately for us we have had a number of illnesses and not been able to have a bath so it was put on a back burner for us.We now have the ability to have a bath, so called the engineers to look at it.3 visits later they seem to have fixed it, but unfortunately the engineer has caused another large stain on the ceiling, for which he apologised.
So now we are at the stage of having to get the ceiling made good again,this procedure did not come cheap last time as we had to have some specialist paint to cover the stain,just emulsion did absolutely nothing.We have rang customer services and, well to be blunt was told you cannot claim anything as it happened 2 years which it did, but it has happened again.The engineer looked at the ceiling and confirmed it must have happened when fixing a new ball cock. What we are asking for is compensation for all the inconvenience of having to get the ceiling painted again with this specialist paint, and then painted with emulsion again.
